1. Overview

The eufy Security eufyCam E330 (Professional) 2-Cam Kit is a 4K outdoor security camera system designed for continuous 24/7 recording. It features plug-in power for uninterrupted operation and utilizes Wi-Fi connectivity to a HomeBase 3 NVR. The system incorporates BionicMind AI for advanced features like face recognition and cross-camera tracking, offering local storage without monthly fees.

Key features include 4K HD resolution for clear day and night vision, stable plug-in power via a 16.4 ft (5 m) cable, and stable Wi-Fi coverage up to 5,000 ft² (464 m²) with wireless connectivity up to 82 ft (25 m) between cameras and HomeBase 3. The system supports local storage expandable up to 16 TB.

3. Setup

3.1 HomeBase 3 Setup

1. Connect the HomeBase 3 to your router's LAN port using the provided Ethernet cable.
2. Power on the HomeBase 3 using the original 12V/2A power adapter.
3. Open the eufy Security app and select 'Add Device', then choose 'HomeBase'.
4. Scan the QR code located on the bottom of the HomeBase 3.
5. When the HomeBase 3 emits a sound, press the SYNC/ALARM OFF button on the back.
6. Follow the in-app instructions to name your HomeBase 3 and complete the setup.

3.2 Camera Setup

1. In the eufy Security app, select 'Add Device' and choose '24/7 Pro Camera'.
2. Power up the camera by plugging it into a power outlet. Keep it close to the HomeBase 3 during initial setup.
3. Press the SYNC button on the back of the camera for 2 seconds until you hear a beep and the LED flashes blue.
4. Follow the in-app instructions to name your camera and complete the setup.

4. Operating the eufyCam E330

4.1 App Interface and Live View

The eufy Security app provides access to live view, recorded footage, and camera settings. From the app's home screen, you can view snapshots from your cameras and tap to access the live feed. The live view interface allows you to record, take screenshots, use two-way talk (half-duplex), listen in, and access playback.

4.2 Playback and Recording

The eufyCam E330 supports 24/7 continuous recording. In the playback section of the app, you will see a timeline of recorded footage. Yellow areas on the timeline indicate AI motion events, while blue areas represent continuous recordings. You can pinch to expand the timeline for detailed viewing.

4.3 Motion Detection and AI Features

The HomeBase 3 powers advanced AI features including Human Recognition, Human Detection, Vehicle Detection (Beta), and Pet Detection (Beta). You can customize activity zones to define specific areas for motion detection. The BionicMind AI self-learns and improves recognition accuracy over time.

4.4 Cross-Camera Tracking

This feature allows the HomeBase 3 to merge clips of the same person or event from multiple cameras, providing a seamless view of movement across your property. This helps in easily tracking movement within the app.

4.5 Night Vision and Spotlight

The cameras offer multiple night vision modes: B&W Night Vision (infrared), Color Night Vision (using the built-in spotlight), or you can turn off night vision entirely. The 100-lumen spotlight can be manually activated or set to turn on when motion is detected in dark conditions.

5. Installation Tips

The eufyCam E330 cameras are IP67 weather-resistant, making them suitable for outdoor installation. The cameras are plug-in powered, requiring a power outlet within 16.4 ft (5 m) or 33 ft (10 m) with the included extension cable.

For installation, loosen the screws on the mount arm to adjust the camera's position. Secure the camera using the three included screws. For optimal security and aesthetics, consider hiding the power cable behind a wall or ceiling. If the cable must be exposed, use a wire or cord cover for protection. Ensure the area where the wiring is located is monitored by a camera to receive notifications if tampering occurs.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 Camera Offline

If a camera goes offline, check its power connection and ensure it is within range of the HomeBase 3 or your Wi-Fi router (if Multi-Bridge is enabled). If the issue persists, you may need to physically remove the camera, delete it from the app, and re-add it near the HomeBase 3.

7.2 HomeBase 3 Issues

If the HomeBase 3 experiences power failure or intermittent operation, verify the power adapter and check the internal hard drive. A faulty hard drive can prevent the HomeBase from functioning correctly. Contact eufy support if the issue cannot be resolved.

7.3 AI Detection Accuracy

AI detection may sometimes misidentify objects. Ensure activity zones are correctly configured to minimize nuisance notifications. The BionicMind AI is designed to self-learn and improve accuracy over time with continued use.

7.4 Video Playback and Download

While 24/7 footage is recorded, stitched and processed clips from Cross-Camera Tracking may not be directly downloadable from the app. Playback of these stitched clips might appear choppy due to processing in full resolution. For critical events, individual camera recordings can typically be downloaded.
