Maintenance
Battery Replacement
The lock requires 4 AA batteries (included). Under normal usage, batteries typically last approximately one year. Replace batteries when the low battery warning appears in the Yale Access App or on the lock itself. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended as they may not provide consistent power levels, potentially affecting performance and battery life indications.

Troubleshooting
Unresponsive Keypad/Fingerprint Scanner
If the keypad or fingerprint scanner is unresponsive, first check the battery level. Depleted batteries are a common cause. If issues persist, recalibrate the lock through the Yale Access App. Ensure your finger is clean and dry when using the fingerprint scanner.
Connectivity Issues
For Wi-Fi connected models, verify your home Wi-Fi network is active and the signal strength at the door is adequate. For Bluetooth-only models, ensure your smartphone is within close proximity to the lock for successful connection and operation.
Entry Code Issues
If entry codes are not registering correctly, ensure each number is pressed firmly and the corresponding sound feedback is heard. The backlit numbers may appear dim in direct sunlight, potentially affecting visibility.
Lock/Unlock Discrepancies
If the lock/unlock status displayed in the Yale Access App does not match the physical state of the lock, recalibrate the lock using the app's settings. This helps synchronize the lock's internal state with the app's reporting.
