Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door or on the keypad.
- Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings.
- Close the battery compartment cover.
2. Initial Opening and Code Setting
Upon first use, open the safe using the emergency key:
- Insert the emergency key into the keyhole, usually hidden behind a cover on the keypad.
- Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob clockwise to open the door.
- With the door open, locate the red reset button on the inside of the door. Press it once.
- On the keypad, enter your desired 3-8 digit code, then press '#' to confirm.
- Test the new code with the door open before closing it.
3. Mounting the Safe
For enhanced security, it is recommended to mount the safe to a wall or floor.
- Choose a suitable location, ensuring there are no electrical wires or pipes behind the drilling area.
- Mark the positions for the pre-drilled holes on the wall or floor using the safe as a template.
- Drill pilot holes using an appropriate drill bit for your wall/floor material.
- Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the expansion screws.
- Tighten the screws securely to fix the safe in place.
Operating Instructions
1. Opening the Safe with Digital Code
- Enter your 3-8 digit personal code on the keypad.
- Press '#'. The display should show "OPEN".
- Within 5 seconds, turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
2. Opening the Safe with Emergency Key
Use the emergency key if you forget your code or if the batteries are depleted.
- Remove the keyhole cover on the keypad.
- Insert the emergency key and turn it clockwise.
- Simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the safe door.
3. Changing the Digital Code
- Open the safe door using your current code or emergency key.
- Press the red reset button located on the inside of the door.
- Enter your new 3-8 digit code on the keypad, then press '#' to confirm.
- Verify the new code by testing it with the door open before closing.
4. Alarm System
The safe is equipped with an audible alarm system. If an incorrect code is entered three consecutive times, or if the safe experiences violent impact, an alarm will sound. To silence the alarm, enter the correct code or use the emergency key.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
When the battery indicator on the display shows low power, replace the batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Use 4 new AA batteries.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
3. Adjustable Shelves
The safe includes adjustable shelves for customized storage. To adjust, simply lift the shelf and reposition it to the desired height using the available slots.
