Product Features
- PoE Passthrough: Includes 1 PoE In and 3 PoE Out ports, supporting 10/100Mbps data rates. Powered directly by the PoE network, eliminating the need for an external AC power supply.
- IEEE 802.3af/at Compliance: Supports standard PoE, with a maximum input of 30W and a maximum output of 24W, averaging 8W per port. PoE voltage range is 44-57 Vdc. PoE pin configuration: Input: 1/2 (+), 3/6 (-), 4/5(+), 7/8(-); Output: 1/2 (+), 3/6 (-).
- Outdoor Weatherproof Design: Constructed with an industrial-grade ABS polymer shell. All cable interfaces are protected within the shell, providing enhanced waterproof, dustproof, and snowproof capabilities, suitable for outdoor deployment and complex indoor environments like warehouses or attics.
- Plug & Play Operation: Features automatic power detection. Simply connect Ethernet cables directly to devices; no configuration is required. LED indicators display port status. Note: Does not support 24V passive PoE.
- VLAN Mode and 250m Extension: Supports VLAN mode and extends PoE transmission up to 250 meters, controlled by a dipswitch.
- Easy Installation: Designed for wall mounting, with a compact size to save space. Supports 3-level cascading to extend PoE coverage for devices like PoE access points, cameras, and IP phones.

Package Contents
The package includes the following items:
- 1 x Binardat Outdoor PoE Passthrough Extender (Model 100M Outdoor)
Safety Information
- Read all instructions carefully before installation and operation.
- Ensure the input PoE source is compliant with IEEE 802.3af/at standards and provides 44-57 Vdc. This device does not support 24V passive PoE.
- Do not open the device casing. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures or humidity beyond its specified operating conditions.
- Ensure proper cable management to prevent damage and maintain waterproof integrity.
Setup
- Mounting the Extender:
The PoE extender is designed for wall mounting. Use appropriate screws and anchors (not included) to secure the device to a stable surface. Ensure the mounting location allows for proper cable routing and access to the dipswitch if needed.

- Connecting the PoE Input:
Connect an Ethernet cable from your PoE switch or PoE injector (IEEE 802.3af/at compliant) to the "PoE IN" port on the extender. This port also supplies power to the extender itself.

- Connecting PoE Output Devices:
Connect your PoE-powered devices (PDs) such as IP cameras, wireless access points, or VoIP phones to the "PoE OUT 1", "PoE OUT 2", and "PoE OUT 3" ports. The extender will automatically detect and provide the necessary power to these devices.

- Cascading Extenders (Optional):
For extended range, you can daisy-chain up to 3 PoE extenders. Connect the "PoE OUT" port of one extender to the "PoE IN" port of the next. This allows for a total transmission distance of up to 1000ft (300m).

- VLAN Mode Configuration (Optional):
The device features a dipswitch to enable VLAN mode. When VLAN mode is active, ports 1-3 are isolated from each other, preventing broadcast storms from affecting connected IP cameras. Refer to the device's labeling for the specific dipswitch position for VLAN mode.

Operating Instructions
- Power On: Once the PoE IN port is connected to a compliant PoE source, the extender will power on automatically. No manual power button is required.
- LED Indicators: The device features LED indicators that display the status of each port. A lit LED typically indicates an active connection and power delivery. Refer to the device's labeling for specific LED meanings.
- Data Transmission: The extender supports 10/100Mbps Ethernet data transmission. Ensure your connected devices are compatible with this speed.
- VLAN Mode: If VLAN mode is enabled via the dipswitch, traffic between the PoE OUT ports will be isolated. This is beneficial for preventing network congestion in multi-camera setups.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Environmental Protection: While the device is weatherproof (IP55 rated), it is recommended to install it in a location that offers some protection from direct, prolonged exposure to extreme weather conditions (e.g., under an overhang) to maximize its lifespan.
- Cable Integrity: Periodically inspect Ethernet cables for any signs of wear or damage, especially in outdoor installations. Ensure all connections are secure.
