5. Setup
5.1 Power Connection
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC input jack on the side of the EBC-A20 unit.
- Plug the power cable into a suitable power outlet.
- Ensure the power switch on the side of the unit is in the OFF position before connecting batteries.
5.2 Battery Connection (4-Wire Method)
The EBC-A20 uses a 4-wire connection method for accurate measurements, separating current and voltage sensing lines.
- Identify the two main current terminals (+ and -) and the two voltage sensing terminals (V+ and V-) on the EBC-A20.
- Connect the red (positive) current lead to the positive terminal of the battery and the corresponding current input on the EBC-A20.
- Connect the black (negative) current lead to the negative terminal of the battery and the corresponding current input on the EBC-A20.
- Connect the red (positive) voltage sensing lead to the positive terminal of the battery (or as close as possible to it) and the V+ input on the EBC-A20.
- Connect the black (negative) voltage sensing lead to the negative terminal of the battery (or as close as possible to it) and the V- input on the EBC-A20.
- Double-check all connections for correct polarity and secure fit.
