- Use only the provided ladder for access to the upper bunk. Do not use alternative climbing methods.
- Keep the area around the bed clear of obstacles to prevent tripping hazards.

- Unpack and Organize: Carefully unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Identify each part using the parts list.
- Assemble the Main Bed Frame: Connect the headboard and footboard to the side rails using the provided bolts and Allen wrench. Do not fully tighten bolts until the entire frame is assembled.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will prolong the life and ensure the safety of your loft bed.
- Cleaning: Wipe down metal surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. For the MDF desk and shelves, use a mild cleaner and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
- Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., monthly) inspect all bolts, screws, and connections. Tighten any loose hardware to maintain stability and safety.
- Structural Integrity: Check for any signs of wear, damage, or bending in the metal frame. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support.
- Ladder Inspection: Ensure the ladder rungs are secure and free from damage.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Merax Metal Loft Bed, refer to the following common solutions:
- Bed feels wobbly: This is often due to loose hardware. Re-check and tighten all bolts and screws, especially those connecting the main frame components. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
- Parts do not align during assembly: Ensure you are using the correct parts for each step as per the assembly diagrams. Sometimes, loosening all bolts slightly allows for better alignment before final tightening.
- Missing hardware or damaged parts: Do not attempt to substitute parts. Contact Merax customer support immediately for replacement parts.
- Ladder rungs are uncomfortable: While not a defect, some users may find metal rungs uncomfortable. Padding can be added to the rungs for increased comfort.
