- Fill the water reservoir with fresh, cold water to the desired level using the water level gauge. Do not exceed the MAX fill line.
- Place the filter basket into the filter holder.
- Insert a paper filter (cone-shaped) into the filter basket, or use the permanent filter if provided.

- Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the keep warm function for 2 hours, after which it will shut off.
- Serve the coffee. For best taste, serve immediately after brewing.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee maker.
Daily Cleaning:
- Always unplug the coffee maker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove the filter basket and discard the used coffee grounds and paper filter.
- Wash the glass carafe, filter basket, and measuring scoop in warm, soapy water. These parts are also top-rack dishwasher safe.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker, warming plate, and control panel with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
- Never immerse the main unit of the coffee maker in water or any other liquid.
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the appliance.
Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal):
Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting its performance and the taste of your coffee. Descale your coffee maker regularly, depending on the hardness of your water and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 weeks).
- Fill the water reservoir with a mixture of white vinegar and cold water. A common ratio is 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts water. For example, for a 12-cup coffee maker, use 4 cups of vinegar and 8 cups of water.
- Place the empty filter basket (without coffee or paper filter) and the empty carafe on the warming plate.
- Press the On/Off button to start a brewing cycle.
- Allow half of the vinegar solution to brew through. Then, turn off the coffee maker and let it stand for at least 15-20 minutes to allow the solution to work on the deposits.
- Turn the coffee maker back on and allow the remaining solution to brew through.
- Discard the vinegar solution from the carafe.
- Rinse the coffee maker by running 2-3 full brewing cycles with fresh, cold water only. This will remove any residual vinegar taste.
