Setup
1. Unboxing and Component Identification
Carefully unpack all components. The package should include: 1* S8 Pro Ultra Robot Vacuum Cleaner, 1* RockDock™ Ultra Dock, 1* Charging Dock, 1* Power Cable, 1* User Manual.
2. Dock Placement
Place the RockDock™ Ultra Dock on a hard and flat floor. Ensure there is adequate space around the dock for the robot to maneuver (at least 0.5m (1.6 ft) on both sides and 1.5m (4.9 ft) in front). Plug in the power cable to the dock and a power outlet. Ensure the location has good Wi-Fi coverage for optimal mobile app experience.
3. Initial Charging
Place the robot onto the dock. The robot will automatically begin charging. Allow the robot to fully charge before its first use. The device supports fast charging, reaching full charge in approximately 4 hours. Off-peak charging can be configured via the app to save on electricity costs.
4. App Setup
Download the Roborock App from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your S8 Pro Ultra to your home's 2.4G Wi-Fi network. The app allows for detailed control and customization of cleaning settings.

1. All-in-One Dock Functionality
The RockDock™ Ultra automatically handles mop washing, drying, and self-emptying. It also refills the robot's water tank, extending its mopping range. The large dust bag can hold up to 7 weeks of debris.

2. Cleaning Modes and Suction Power
The robot features a dual rubber brush system and 6000Pa suction for effective cleaning on hard floors and carpets. The VibraRise 2.0 Mopping System provides high-speed scrubbing with consistent pressure. Cleaning modes (Vac & Mop, Vacuum Only, Mop Only) and suction power levels can be selected via the app.

3. Intelligent Navigation and Obstacle Avoidance
Reactive 3D Obstacle Avoidance uses structured light and infrared technology to identify and bypass objects. LiDAR navigation and 3D mapping create detailed maps for accurate and customized cleaning. The robot can detect carpets and automatically lift its mop by 5mm to avoid wetting them.

5. Liftable Brushes and Mop
The robot's brushes and mop can lift independently or together. This allows for seamless transitions between vacuuming and mopping, and prevents wetting carpets during mopping tasks. If an entrapping threshold is set in the app, the brushes and mop will lift automatically to assist the robot in climbing.

Maintenance
1. RockDock™ Ultra Maintenance
The RockDock™ Ultra is designed for minimal maintenance. It automatically empties the robot's dustbin into a large disposable bag, which typically requires changing only every 7 weeks. The dock also self-cleans its base and dries the mops with warm air to prevent odors and mildew.
