3. What's in the Box

4. Setup
4.1. Battery Installation
- Open the battery cover on the back of the monitor.
- Insert the four (4) AAA batteries according to the polarity indications (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
- Close the battery cover securely.
4.2. Connecting the Arm Cuff
- Locate the air jack on the side of the monitor unit.
- Firmly insert the air plug of the arm cuff into the air jack until it clicks into place. Ensure a secure connection to prevent air leakage during measurement.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Preparing for Measurement
- Sit in a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Ensure your back is supported and your arm is resting comfortably on a table, with the cuff at heart level.
- Remove tight-fitting clothing from your upper arm.
- Wrap the arm cuff around your upper arm, approximately 1 to 2 cm above your elbow. The air tube should run down the center of your arm.
- Ensure the cuff is snug but not too tight. The Cuff Wrapping Guide will display an 'OK' symbol on the monitor if the cuff is correctly applied. Adjust if necessary.

5.2. Taking a Measurement
- Press the START/STOP button. The cuff will begin to inflate automatically using Intellisense Technology.
- Remain still and do not talk during the measurement.
- Once the measurement is complete, the cuff will deflate, and your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate will be displayed on the screen.
- The Hypertension Indicator will illuminate if your blood pressure reading is outside the normal range. Consult a healthcare professional if this occurs frequently.
- Press the START/STOP button again to turn off the monitor. If you do not turn it off, the monitor will automatically shut down after a few minutes of inactivity.
5.3. Using the OMRON Connect App (Bluetooth Function)
The OMRON connect app allows you to transfer your blood pressure readings to your smartphone or tablet for tracking and analysis.
- Download the OMRON connect app from your device's app store (available on Google Play and Apple App Store).
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet.
- Open the OMRON connect app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your HEM 7140T1 monitor.
- After pairing, take a measurement as described in Section 5.2. The readings will automatically sync to the app.
