Setup
Unpacking
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present: the kettle, the 360° swivel base, the tea strainer with lid button, and the drip tray. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
Initial Cleaning
Before first use, fill the kettle with fresh water to the maximum fill line. Boil the water at 100°C, then discard it. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues. Wipe the exterior of the kettle and the base with a damp cloth.
Placing the Kettle
Place the 360° swivel base on a stable, flat, and dry surface. Ensure the power cord is not pinched or hanging over the edge of the counter. The kettle can be placed on the base from any direction.

Keep Warm Function
Activate the keep warm function to maintain the water at your selected temperature for up to 30 minutes. This is useful if you need to postpone your beverage preparation.
Baby Food Preparation and Sterilization
The kettle can be used to prepare baby food by heating water to the appropriate temperature and keeping it warm. Additionally, it can sterilize pacifiers and bottles by boiling water at 100°C for five minutes.
Automatic Power Shutdown
The kettle features an automatic power shutdown for safety, turning off once the water has reached the selected temperature or boiled.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning the Kettle
Always unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. The glass body and exterior can be wiped with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the kettle or its base in water. The tea strainer and drip tray can be hand washed with mild detergent.
Product Care Instructions: Hand wash.
Descaling
Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may accumulate inside the kettle, especially in hard water areas. To descale, use a commercial descaling solution suitable for electric kettles, following the product instructions. Alternatively, a solution of white vinegar and water (1:2 ratio) can be used. Fill the kettle with the descaling solution, bring it to a boil, let it stand for an hour, then rinse thoroughly multiple times with fresh water.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ZWILLING Electric Kettle, please refer to the following common solutions:
- Kettle does not heat: Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the base and the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Check if the circuit breaker has tripped.
- Water not reaching desired temperature: Verify that the correct temperature setting or tea program has been selected on the control panel. Ensure the lid is closed properly.
- Kettle switches off too soon: This may indicate limescale buildup. Perform a descaling procedure as described in the Maintenance section.
- Unusual noises: Minor boiling noises are normal. Excessive or unusual noises may indicate limescale buildup or improper placement on the base.
If the problem persists after attempting these solutions, please contact ZWILLING customer support.
