• Ensure the power cord is not damaged. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug.
• Do not use on wet surfaces or to pick up liquids. This appliance is for dry use only.
• Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
• The UV light is equipped with a gravity sensor switch. It will only activate when the vacuum head is pressed against a surface, preventing accidental UV exposure. Do not attempt to bypass this safety feature.
• Do not apply the UV function to people or animals.
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning or performing maintenance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

3. Setup

The Dibea UV-10 comes pre-assembled for immediate use. Simply unbox the unit and ensure all components are securely in place.

1. Remove the vacuum cleaner and accessories from the packaging.
2. Ensure the dust cup is securely attached to the main unit.
3. Unwind the power cord.

4. Operating Instructions

The Dibea UV-10 is designed for ease of use with simple controls.

1. Power On/Off: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. Press and hold the power button on the handle for 2 seconds to turn the unit on or off.
2. Mode Selection: The vacuum features two modes: Soft and Strong. Use the mode selection button to switch between these settings based on your cleaning needs.
3. UV Light Activation: The UV light automatically activates when the vacuum head is pressed firmly against a surface, ensuring safety and effective sterilization.
4. Cleaning Surfaces: Gently glide the vacuum cleaner across the fabric surface. For optimal results, make slow, overlapping passes. The high-frequency vibration and roller brush will loosen embedded dust and allergens, while the strong suction collects them.

Recommended Usage:

• Mattresses: Use regularly to remove dust mites, dead skin cells, and allergens.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your Dibea UV-10.

5.1. Cleaning the Dust Cup

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged.
2. Press the dust cup release button and detach the dust cup from the main unit.
3. Open the dust cup lid and empty the collected debris into a waste bin.
4. The dust cup can be rinsed with cool tap water. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.

5.2. Cleaning the Filters

The Dibea UV-10 features a multi-stage filtration system, including a HEPA filter and a cyclonic filter. These are washable and should be cleaned regularly (recommended monthly) to maintain suction power.

1. After emptying the dust cup, remove the HEPA filter and cyclonic filter.
2. Rinse both filters under cool tap water until clean.
3. Allow the filters to air dry completely for at least 24 hours before reassembling. Do not use a dryer or direct heat.
4. Replacement filters are available for purchase from the Dibea store. It is recommended to change filters every six months.

5.3. Cleaning the Brush Roll

The brush roll can accumulate hair and fibers, affecting performance. It is designed for easy removal and cleaning.

1. Ensure the appliance is unplugged.
2. Locate the two clips on the underside of the vacuum head. Push them to the 'unlock' position.
3. Remove the brush roll cover and then carefully lift out the brush roll.
4. Remove any tangled hair or debris from the brush roll using the provided cleaning tool or scissors.
5. Reinsert the brush roll and secure the cover by pushing the clips back to the 'lock' position.

6. Troubleshooting

• No Power: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into the outlet. Ensure the power button is pressed and held for 2 seconds.
• Reduced Suction: Check if the dust cup is full and needs emptying. Clean the HEPA and cyclonic filters. Remove any blockages from the suction inlet or brush roll.
• UV Light Not Activating: Ensure the vacuum head is pressed firmly against the surface. The gravity sensor prevents UV activation when lifted.
• Unusual Noise: Turn off and unplug the appliance. Check the brush roll for any obstructions or tangled hair.
