Setup and Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully. It is recommended that two people assemble and mount the cabinet due to its size and weight, ensuring safety and ease of installation.

  1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Lay them out on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a blanket or cardboard) to prevent scratches. Refer to the included parts diagram (usually labeled with letters and numbers) to identify each piece.
  2. Assemble Cabinet Frame: Connect the side panels to the top and bottom panels using the provided assembly hardware (e.g., cam locks, dowels, screws). Ensure all connections are secure and the frame is square.
  3. Install Back Panel: Secure the back panel to the assembled frame using the small nails or screws provided. Ensure the panel is flush with the frame.
  4. Attach Door Hinges: Mount the hinges to the cabinet doors first, then attach the doors to the cabinet frame. Ensure proper alignment so the doors open and close smoothly.
  5. Install Handles: Attach the black metal handles to the barn doors using the provided screws.
  6. Insert Adjustable Shelves: Place the adjustable shelf pins into the desired recessed slots within the cabinet. Then, rest the adjustable shelves onto these pins. The cabinet offers 3 height selections for flexible storage.
  7. Attach Open Shelf and Towel Bar Support: Secure the X-shaped hollow iron open shelf supports to the bottom of the cabinet frame. Then, attach the open shelf to these supports.
  8. Install Removable Towel Bar: Attach the towel bar to the designated points under the open shelf. This bar can be removed if not needed.
  9. Prepare for Wall Mounting:
    • Choose a suitable location on the wall. Consider the overall dimensions: 19.3" W x 7.1" D x 26" H.
    • Measure and mark the desired mounting height. Use a level to ensure the marks are perfectly horizontal.
    • Mark the positions for the mounting holes on the wall. The mounting holes on the cabinet are approximately 12.5 inches apart.
    • Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If mounting into drywall, insert the provided wall anchors. If mounting into a wood stud, drill pilot holes appropriate for the mounting screws.
  10. Mount the Cabinet: With assistance, carefully lift the cabinet and align the mounting holes on the cabinet with the drilled holes/anchors on the wall. Insert and tighten the mounting screws securely. Ensure the cabinet is level and stable before placing any items inside.

Operating Instructions

Adjustable Shelves:

The interior of the cabinet features recessed slots on the side panels, allowing for three different height selections for the adjustable shelves. To change a shelf's height, simply lift the shelf, reposition the support pins into the desired slots, and then carefully place the shelf back onto the pins, ensuring it rests evenly on all four supports.

Barn Doors:

The two barn-style doors open outwards to provide access to the cabinet's interior. Use the black metal handles to open and close the doors smoothly. Ensure no items obstruct the door's path when opening or closing.

Removable Towel Bar:

The towel bar located beneath the open shelf is designed for hanging towels or other lightweight items. It can be easily removed by sliding it out of its supports if not needed or for cleaning.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the cabinet surfaces with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or solvents, as these can damage the wood grain finish.
  • Dusting: Regularly dust the cabinet with a dry, soft cloth to prevent dust buildup.
  • Hardware: Periodically check all screws, hinges, and connections to ensure they remain tight. Tighten any loose hardware as necessary to maintain the cabinet's stability and structural integrity.
  • Moisture: While suitable for bathroom environments, avoid prolonged exposure to excessive moisture. Wipe up any water spills or condensation immediately to prevent damage to the wood.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Cabinet feels unstable after mounting.
Solution: Ensure all mounting screws are fully tightened. Verify that appropriate wall anchors were used for your specific wall type (e.g., drywall, plaster, wood stud) and that they are securely installed. If possible, try to mount into wall studs for maximum stability. Re-check the cabinet's level during installation.
Issue: Doors do not close properly or are misaligned.
Solution: Check the hinge screws on both the door and the cabinet frame. Loosen slightly, adjust the door position to achieve proper alignment, and then re-tighten securely. Ensure the cabinet frame itself is square and level on the wall.
Issue: Shelf is wobbly or not sitting flat.
Solution: Ensure all four shelf support pins are fully inserted into the recessed slots and that the shelf is resting evenly and securely on all pins. Check that the shelf itself is not warped.
