5.2. WiFi Connection (Screen Mirroring)
To mirror your smartphone or tablet screen wirelessly:
- Connect Projector to Network: Navigate to the [Network] menu on the projector, then select [Network Settings]. Scan for available Wi-Fi networks, select your home network, enter the password, and connect.
- Connect Your Device: Ensure your iOS or Android device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the projector.
- Initiate Screen Mirroring: On the projector, select either [Connect to iOS device] or [Connect to Android device] from the main menu.
- For iOS Devices: On your iOS device, activate the [Screen Mirroring] function (often found in the Control Center) and select "Y3-XXXX" from the list of available devices.

Important Note: Due to copyright protections, direct screen mirroring of content from streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and similar applications is not supported. For these services, you must use an external streaming stick (e.g., Fire TV Stick, Roku Stick) connected to the projector via the HDMI port, or connect a PC/laptop via HDMI. Additionally, some smartphone models, including Samsung A series and Google smartphones, may not support direct screen mirroring with this projector.

7. Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your projector:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the projector lens with a soft, lint-free cloth. Keep the projector's exterior free from dust and debris using a dry cloth.
- Ventilation: Ensure that the projector's ventilation ports are not blocked to prevent overheating. Do not place the projector on soft surfaces that may obstruct airflow.
- Storage: When not in use, store the projector in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures or humidity.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your YOTON Y3-PW projector, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- No Signal Displayed:
- Verify that the correct input source (HDMI, USB, AV) is selected in the projector's menu.
- Ensure all connection cables are securely plugged into both the projector and the source device.
- If connecting a PC, check its display settings (e.g., press Win + P on Windows to cycle through display modes).
- If using a streaming stick, confirm it is properly powered and functioning.
- WiFi Connection Issues or Screen Mirroring Lag:
- Ensure the projector is connected to a stable 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
- For smoother playback, consider downloading videos in advance to reduce network dependency.
- Confirm that your smartphone model supports screen mirroring. Note that Samsung A series and Google smartphones may have compatibility limitations.
- Remember that copyrighted content from streaming apps like Netflix cannot be screen mirrored directly. Use an HDMI connection or a streaming stick.
- USB Disk Not Recognized:
- Ensure the USB device is a black-colored USB 2.0 flash drive with a capacity of less than 64GB. USB 3.0 drives (blue-colored) are not supported.
- Bluetooth Audio Problems:
- Confirm that only one Bluetooth audio device is connected to the projector.
- Disable Dolby Sound on the projector for optimal audio compatibility.
- Remember that Bluetooth is for audio output only; it cannot be used to connect smartphones or computers as input sources.
