Introduction

Setup

1. Charging the Battery

Before first use, fully charge the 20V Max* Lithium-Ion Battery. The battery can be fully charged in less than 90 minutes using the included 20V Max* 2 Amp Lithium-Ion Battery Charger.

1. Connect the charger to a standard electrical outlet.
2. Slide the battery pack onto the charger until it clicks into place.
3. The charger indicator light will show the charging status. Refer to the charger manual for specific light patterns.
4. Once fully charged, remove the battery from the charger.

2. Installing the Battery

To install the battery pack into the hedge trimmer:

1. Align the battery pack with the battery port on the trimmer handle.
2. Slide the battery pack into the port until it locks securely in place. Ensure it is fully seated to prevent accidental dislodgement during operation.

Operating Instructions

Starting and Stopping

The SENIX X2 hedge trimmer features an integrated front handle safety switch to prevent accidental start-ups. To start the trimmer:

1. Ensure the battery is securely installed.
2. Grip the rear handle firmly with one hand and the front loop handle with the other.
3. Depress the safety switch on the front handle while simultaneously squeezing the trigger switch on the rear handle. The blades will begin to move.
4. To stop the trimmer, release either the safety switch or the trigger switch.

Trimming Techniques

For optimal results and safety, follow these trimming guidelines:

• Horizontal Trimming: Hold the trimmer with both hands, keeping the blade parallel to the hedge. Use a sweeping motion to cut across the top of the hedge.
• Vertical Trimming: The loop handle allows for convenient vertical cutting. Hold the trimmer with the blade perpendicular to the hedge and move it up or down along the side.
• Cutting Capacity: The dual-action blades can cut branches up to 3/4-inch diameter. Do not force the trimmer through thicker branches.
• Blade Movement: The brushed motor delivers smooth and consistent power for efficient trimming.
