4. Setup and Installation
The CIARRA CBCB6906D cooker hood offers flexible installation options: under a cabinet (top ventilation) or wall-mounted (rear ventilation). Ensure you have the necessary tools (drill, wall plugs, screws) before beginning installation.
Dimensions and Clearance:
Refer to the diagram below for precise dimensions and recommended minimum clearances from cooking surfaces. The hood measures 599 mm wide, 298 mm long, and extends to 453 mm when fully pulled out. The height is approximately 4.2 cm.

Mounting Options:
The hood can be installed in two ways:
- Under-Cabinet Mounting (Top Ventilation): Ideal for integration into kitchen cabinetry. Ensure proper alignment with the chimney/ventilation duct.
- Wall Mounting (Rear Ventilation): Mount directly to the wall above your cooking area.

Ventilation Modes:
The hood supports both extraction (ducted) and recirculation (ductless) modes. For recirculation, ensure the activated carbon filters are installed.

5. Operating Instructions
The CIARRA CBCB6906D features simple physical button controls for ease of use.
Power and Speed Control:
The hood is equipped with a POWER button (left switch) to turn the unit on or off. The right switch controls the 2 suction power levels. When the telescopic plate is pulled out, the hood will automatically activate with the last used speed and light settings due to its memory function.

Telescopic Operation:
Gently pull the front panel of the hood outwards to extend the telescopic section and activate the hood. Push it back in to retract and turn off the hood.

LED Lighting:
The hood includes an energy-saving LED light (1W) to illuminate your cooking area. The light can be controlled independently via the control switch.

General Cleaning:
Wipe the exterior surfaces of the hood with a soft cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that could damage the finish.
7. Troubleshooting
