4. Initial Setup

Follow these steps for the first use of your Vertuo Pop machine.

1. Unpack: Remove the machine from its packaging and place it on a stable, flat surface.
2. Rinse Water Tank: Remove the water tank and rinse it thoroughly with fresh drinking water.
3. Fill Water Tank: Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water and place it back on the machine.
4. Plug In: Plug the machine into a grounded power outlet. The button will blink as the machine heats up.
5. First Rinse: Place a container (at least 0.5L) under the coffee outlet. Press the button three times quickly to start the rinsing cycle. The machine will dispense hot water. Repeat this process twice.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Brewing Coffee

1. Turn On: Press the button once to turn on the machine. It will heat up, and the button will glow steady white when ready.
2. Open Head: Lift the lever to open the machine head.
3. Insert Capsule: Insert a Nespresso Vertuo capsule with the dome side down.
4. Close Head: Close the machine head by pushing the lever down until it locks.
5. Place Cup: Place a cup of appropriate size under the coffee outlet.
6. Start Brewing: Press the button once to start brewing. The machine will automatically recognize the capsule and brew the coffee according to its barcode.
7. Eject Capsule: After brewing, the machine will automatically eject the used capsule into the used capsule container.

6.1 Daily Cleaning

• Drip Tray and Cup Support: Remove and clean the drip tray and cup support with a damp cloth.
• Used Capsule Container: Empty and rinse the used capsule container daily.
• Water Tank: Rinse the water tank with fresh drinking water.
• Machine Surface: Wipe the machine surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
