Maintenance and Care

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Apple Watch SE, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Regularly clean your Apple Watch and band with a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Water Resistance: The Apple Watch SE is water resistant to 50 meters, making it suitable for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. It is not recommended for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depths. After contact with water, especially salt water, rinse the watch with fresh water and wipe it dry.
  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Do not expose your Apple Watch to extremely hot or cold temperatures.
  • Protect the Screen: While durable, the display can still be scratched or cracked. Consider using a screen protector for added protection.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Apple Watch SE, try the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart: If the watch is unresponsive, try restarting it by pressing and holding the side button until the power off slider appears, then drag the slider. To force restart, press and hold both the side button and the Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
  • Check Connection: Ensure your Apple Watch is properly paired with your iPhone and that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iPhone.
  • Update Software: Make sure both your Apple Watch and iPhone are running the latest software versions. Updates often include bug fixes and performance improvements.
  • Reset: As a last resort, you can erase all content and settings on your Apple Watch. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. This will unpair the watch from your iPhone.
