4. Setup and Assembly

Before first use, sterilize all pump parts that come into contact with breast milk (flange, milk collector, flange cover, diaphragm, silicone valve) according to the cleaning instructions.

Assembly Steps:

1. Insert the silicone valve firmly into the bottom of the milk collector. Ensure it is securely seated to prevent leaks.
2. Place the diaphragm onto the top of the milk collector, ensuring a tight seal.
3. Attach the flange (with any necessary insert) to the milk collector, aligning the pouring spout with the groove. Ensure the lip of the flange is securely over the edge of the collector.
4. Connect the pump motor to the assembled flange and collector unit. Ensure the electrical contacts align and the motor clicks securely into place.

Flange Sizing:

Correct flange sizing is crucial for comfort and effective pumping. Use the provided nipple measurement card to determine your size. If your nipple diameter requires a size smaller than 24mm, use the appropriate flange insert (17/19/21mm) with the 24mm flange.

5. Operating Instructions

Modes and Levels:

The pump offers 3 modes and 9 adjustable suction levels:

• Stimulation Mode: Quick and short sucking pattern to initiate milk flow.
• Expression Mode: Slow sucking pattern for efficient milk expression.
• Mixed Mode: Combines quick and short sucking with a slow and long sucking pattern.

Powering On/Off:

• Press and hold the Power button to turn the pump On or Off.
• A short press of the Power button will pause or resume pumping.

Adjusting Settings:

• Use the Mode Selection button to switch between Stimulation, Expression, and Mixed modes.
• Use the Increase (+) and Decrease (-) buttons to adjust the suction level (1-9) within each mode.
• It is recommended to start with a lower suction level and gradually increase to a comfortable setting that provides effective milk expression.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance are essential for hygiene and optimal pump performance. The Momcozy M6 is designed with only 4 easy-to-clean parts.

Cleaning Instructions:

1. Disassemble all pump parts that come into contact with breast milk (flange, milk collector, flange cover, diaphragm, silicone valve).
2. Wash these parts with warm soapy water.
3. Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
4. Air dry completely on a clean surface or use a dedicated drying rack.
5. The pump motor should NOT be washed or submerged in water. Wipe it clean with a damp cloth if necessary.

Sterilization:

Sterilize all milk-contacting parts at least once a day. These parts are dishwasher safe and can be sterilized in a cooking pot (boiling water) or a steam sterilizer. Do NOT use a microwave for sterilization.

7. Troubleshooting

• Low Suction: Ensure all pump parts are correctly assembled and securely sealed. Check that the silicone valve and diaphragm are not damaged or worn.
• No Power: Check the battery indicator on the LED display. Recharge the pump using the provided USB Type-C cable if the battery is low.
• Discomfort/Pain: Verify that you are using the correct flange size. Refer to the nipple measurement card. Adjust suction levels to a comfortable setting. If discomfort persists, consult a lactation professional.
• Milk Leakage: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and tightly sealed. Check for any cracks or damage to the milk collector or flange.
• Pump Not Turning On: Ensure the pump is fully charged. Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
