Operating Modes

The Ainostone adapter supports three distinct operating modes:

1. Transmitter Mode (TX)

In TX mode, the adapter transmits audio from non-Bluetooth devices (e.g., TV, PC) to Bluetooth-enabled headphones or speakers. This allows you to enjoy audio wirelessly from devices that lack built-in Bluetooth functionality.

2. Receiver Mode (RX)

In RX mode, the adapter receives audio from Bluetooth-enabled devices (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and outputs it to wired audio systems (e.g., home stereo, wired headphones). This upgrades your traditional audio equipment with Bluetooth receiving capabilities.

3. Bypass Mode

Bypass mode allows a direct wired connection between your audio source and output device without Bluetooth processing. This is useful for listening to audio through traditional wired headphones or speakers connected via Optical, 3.5mm AUX, or RCA cables.

Display and Controls

The device features a 1.8-inch LCD display that shows the current operating mode, connected device names, and other status information. A rotary knob allows for easy navigation through menus and selection of options displayed on the screen, simplifying the connection process.

Troubleshooting

Refer to the following common issues and their solutions:

  • Q1: Cannot connect to both Optical and RCA cables simultaneously.
A: In TX/RX/Bypass modes, Optical is prioritized. If AUX is connected simultaneously with Optical, AUX will take precedence. The device automatically recognizes AUX. However, RCA cannot be used with Optical at the same time. Disconnect any unused cables to ensure proper function.
  • Q2: Unable to connect to my device.
    A: Please confirm the following:
    1. You have selected the correct operating mode (TX or RX).
    2. The Bluetooth device is in pairing mode.
    3. Both devices are within 1 meter (3 feet) during the pairing process.
  • Q3: Bluetooth audio transmitter is connected to my TV via optical, but there is no sound.
A: Verify that your TV's audio output is set to PCM. This setting is usually found under 'Settings > Sound > Digital Audio Output' on your TV.
  • Q4: The connection is unstable or frequently disconnects.
A: Try initializing the Bluetooth transmitter and then reconnecting. To initialize, long-press the Bluetooth identification button to disconnect, then power off and restart the device.
  • Q5: There is an audio delay.
A: Audio delay can be influenced by connected devices and surrounding Bluetooth devices. It is recommended to turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices and attempt to connect to different devices to determine if the issue persists.
  • Q6: After powering off, the device does not remember previously paired devices.
A: Initialize the Bluetooth adapter and then pair your devices again. To initialize, long-press the Bluetooth identification button to disconnect, then power off and restart the device.
