2. Important Safety Instructions
When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using the iron.
- Use the iron only for its intended use.
- To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron in water or other liquids.
- The iron must always be turned to "Off" before plugging or unplugging from the outlet. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
- Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around iron when storing.
- Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with water or emptying and when not in use.
- Do not operate iron with a damaged cord or if the iron has been dropped or damaged. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron; take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair. Incorrect reassembly can cause a risk of electric shock when the iron is used.
- Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children. Do not leave iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.
- Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down – there may be hot water in the reservoir.
- The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
- When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Ironing Temperature Settings
- Plug the iron into a suitable electrical outlet (2.3E+2 Volts AC).
- Turn the temperature control dial to the desired setting according to the fabric type. Refer to the fabric care labels on your garments.
- The indicator light will illuminate, indicating the iron is heating up. It will turn off when the desired temperature is reached.
5.2 Dry Ironing
For dry ironing, ensure the steam control lever is set to the "Dry" position. You can begin ironing once the indicator light turns off.
5.3 Steam Ironing
Steam ironing is recommended for most fabrics. Ensure the water tank is filled and the temperature control dial is set to a steam-compatible setting (usually indicated by steam symbols on the dial).
- Once the iron reaches the set temperature, move the steam control lever to the desired steam position. The iron provides a continuous steam output of up to 50 g/min.
- Begin ironing your garments.

5.4 Steam Boost (Shot of Steam)
For stubborn creases, press the steam boost trigger. This delivers an extra shot of steam up to 280 g/min. Wait a few seconds between each shot to allow the iron to reheat.
5.5 Vertical Steaming
The steam boost function can also be used for vertical steaming of hanging garments, curtains, or drapes.
- Hang the garment on a hanger.
- Hold the iron vertically, a few centimeters away from the fabric.
- Press the steam boost trigger repeatedly while moving the iron up and down the garment.

5.6 Spray Function
To moisten stubborn creases, press the spray button. This will release a fine mist of water onto the fabric.
5.7 Automatic Shut-off
For safety and energy saving, your iron is equipped with an automatic shut-off feature. If left unattended in a horizontal position, it will turn off after 30 seconds. If left in a vertical position, it will turn off after 8 minutes. The indicator light will flash when the iron is in auto-off mode. To restart, simply move the iron.
6. Maintenance and Cleaning
6.1 Cleaning the Soleplate
To clean the Durilium AirGlide Autoclean soleplate, use a damp cloth or a non-abrasive sponge. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metallic scouring pads as they can damage the soleplate coating.
6.2 Cleaning the Micro-Calc Filter
The patented Micro-Calc Filter collects limescale particles to prevent them from staining your garments. It should be cleaned regularly, depending on the hardness of your water and frequency of use.
- Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
- Locate the Micro-Calc Filter, usually at the back of the iron near the water tank.
- Carefully pull out the filter.
- Rinse the filter under running water to remove any accumulated limescale.
- Reinsert the clean filter back into the iron until it clicks into place.

6.3 Emptying the Water Tank
After each use, it is recommended to empty any remaining water from the tank to prevent limescale buildup and odors. Unplug the iron, open the water filling inlet, and invert the iron over a sink to drain the water.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| No steam is produced. | Water tank is empty. Temperature setting is too low for steam. Steam control lever is on "Dry". | Fill the water tank. Set the temperature to a steam-compatible setting. Move the steam control lever to a steam position. |
| Water drips from the soleplate. | Temperature is too low for steam. Steam boost used too frequently. Anti-drip system is active (normal for low temperatures). | Allow the iron to heat up fully before using steam. Wait a few seconds between steam boosts. This is normal. Increase temperature if possible. |
| Iron does not heat up. | Iron is unplugged. Automatic shut-off activated. Power outlet issue. | Check power connection. Move the iron to reactivate. Test the outlet with another appliance. |
| White flakes coming from soleplate. | Limescale buildup. | Clean the Micro-Calc Filter as described in Section 6.2. |
