4. Installation Guide
4.1 Pre-Installation Checks
Before installing, ensure your door meets the following requirements:
- Door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm-50mm)
- Hole diameter: 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" (38mm or 54mm)
- Backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm)
- Minimum distance from door edge to center of hole: 1-5/8" (40mm)
- Compatible with US standard left-handed and right-handed doors.

4.2 Installation Steps
Refer to the included 'Installation Instruction' manual for detailed, step-by-step instructions. A screwdriver is the only tool required for installation.
- Prepare the door and frame according to the provided template.
- Install the latch into the door edge.

5. Initial Setup and App Pairing
5.1 Battery Installation

Download the dedicated Veise smart lock application from your smartphone's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to pair your lock. Important: Do not use the keypad to change the Master Password before pairing the lock in the APP. Before pairing, you may need to touch the keypad to activate the lock. If the app does not find the lock or cannot connect, please reset the lock.
5.3 User Management
The app and web portal allow for comprehensive user management. You can add up to 50 fingerprints and over 250 user codes. Codes can be generated as one-time, permanent, scheduled, or recurring access.

6.1 Unlocking Methods
- Fingerprint: Place your registered finger on the sensor.
- Keypad Code: Enter your 4-9 digit code followed by '#'.

- IC Card (Fob): Tap the fob against the lock's sensor.
