3. General Clipping Tips
- For best results, ensure hair is clean and dry before clipping.
- Always start with a longer guide comb and gradually reduce the length if desired.
- Move the clipper against the direction of hair growth for an even cut.
- Use smooth, overlapping strokes.
- Regularly tap or brush off excess hair from the blades during use.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Blades
- Turn off the clipper and disconnect it from any power source.
- Use the provided cleaning brush to remove loose hairs from the blades.
- For a more thorough cleaning, you may carefully remove the blade set (refer to manufacturer's guidelines if applicable, or consult online resources for VGR V-660 blade removal).
- Do not rinse the entire clipper under water. The blades can be wiped with a damp cloth, but ensure they are completely dry before reattaching or storing.
2. Lubricating the Blades
- After each use or cleaning, apply 1-2 drops of the lubricating oil (provided) to the teeth and friction points of the blades.
- Turn the clipper on for a few seconds to allow the oil to distribute evenly.
- Wipe off any excess oil with a soft cloth. Regular oiling ensures optimal cutting performance and extends blade life.
3. Storage
Store the clipper in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Use the head guard to protect the blades when not in use.
