- Release the spindle lock.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off
The Metabo W 750-115 features a slide switch with a locking function.
- To Turn On: Slide the switch forward until it locks into the ON position.
- To Turn Off: Press the rear part of the slide switch to release the lock and slide it back to the OFF position.
5.2 Grinding and Cutting Techniques

- Proper Grip: Hold the grinder firmly with both hands, using the main handle and the side handle.
- Starting the Cut/Grind: Allow the wheel to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
- Angle of Approach: For grinding, hold the wheel at a slight angle (typically 15-30 degrees) to the workpiece. For cutting, hold the wheel perpendicular to the workpiece.
- Controlled Pressure: Apply steady, moderate pressure. Do not force the tool, as this can lead to kickback or damage to the wheel/motor.
- Direction of Sparks: Position yourself and the workpiece so that sparks are directed away from your body, flammable materials, and bystanders.
