Setup & Usage Instructions

Using Tide PODS is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps for optimal cleaning results:

1. Step 1: Add Tide PODS to the Drum. Place the appropriate number of Tide PODS directly into the washing machine drum *before* adding clothes.
2. Step 2: Load Clothes. Add your laundry to the washing machine.
3. Step 3: Select Cycle. Choose your desired wash cycle and temperature. Tide PODS are effective in any water temperature, including cold water.
4. Dosing: For regular loads, use one Tide POD. For larger or heavily soiled loads, use an additional Tide POD.

Important Safety Information

WARNING: HARMFUL IF PUT IN MOUTH OR SWALLOWED. EYE IRRITANT. Pacs can burst if children put them in mouth or play with them. The liquid inside is harmful. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Store container where children cannot reach or climb to it, out of sight and in a secure place.
• Keep container closed after use.
• Never leave any pacs out of container.
• Do not let children handle pacs, even if supervised.
• Avoid breaking pacs.
• Do not handle pacs with wet or moist hands.
• Do not expose pacs to moisture.
• Do not use for hand washing or pre-treating.

First Aid Treatment:

• Contains: Anionic and/or nonionic surfactants, ethoxylated polyethylene polyamine (polymer) and enzymes.
• Call a Poison Control Center (US: 1-800-222-1222) or doctor immediately if detergent gets in mouth or eye or on skin.
• If swallowed: Rinse mouth, do not induce vomiting.
• If in eyes: Rinse with water for 15 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing.
• If on skin or hair: Take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower.

Storage and Maintenance

To maintain the effectiveness and safety of your Tide PODS, proper storage is crucial:

• Always store Tide PODS in their original container.
• Keep the container tightly closed after each use to prevent exposure to moisture, which can cause the pacs to dissolve prematurely.
• Store the container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Ensure the product is stored out of reach of children and pets, preferably in a locked cabinet or on a high shelf.

Troubleshooting

While Tide PODS are designed for effective cleaning, here are some common issues and tips:

• Pod Not Dissolving Completely: This can happen if the water temperature is too cold, if the washing machine is overloaded, or if the pod is placed on top of clothes instead of directly in the drum. Ensure the water is not excessively cold, avoid overloading, and always place the pod in the drum first.
• Residue on Clothes: Similar to incomplete dissolution, residue can occur. Try using a warm water rinse cycle, or reduce the load size. Ensure the pod is placed correctly in the drum.
• Stains Not Removed: For heavily soiled items, consider using two Tide PODS. For very tough or set-in stains, pre-treating the stain before washing may be necessary.
• Lack of Scent: Ensure you are using the correct number of pods for your load size. For a stronger scent, consider using Tide PODS in conjunction with Tide scent boosters (sold separately).
