3. Setup
Measuring Your Head Size
To ensure the correct helmet size, accurately measure your head circumference. Use a flexible measuring tape and wrap it horizontally around the widest part of your head, approximately 1 inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows and ears. Refer to the sizing chart below.

Helmet Sizing Chart
Once you have your head circumference measurement, find the corresponding size in the table below. A properly fitted helmet is crucial for safety.

Table displaying helmet sizes (XXS to 4XL) corresponding to head circumferences in centimeters. This helps ensure a proper and safe fit.
| Size | Head Circumference |
|---|---|
| XXS | 51-52 cm |
| XS | 53-54 cm |
| S | 55-56 cm |
| M | 57-58 cm |
| L | 59-60 cm |
| XL | 61-62 cm |
| XXL | 63-64 cm |
| 3XL | 65-66 cm |
| 4XL | 67-68 cm |
Proper Fit
A helmet that fits correctly is essential for your safety and comfort. Follow these guidelines:
- The helmet should fit snugly around your entire head without any painful pressure points.
- The cheek pads should press firmly against your cheeks.
- When you try to move the helmet from side to side or up and down, your skin should move with it, indicating a secure fit.
- Fasten the micrometric buckle securely under your chin. It should be tight enough that you cannot easily pull the helmet off your head.
4. Operating Your Helmet
Chin Bar Operation (Modular Function)
The EVO-ES helmet features a modular design, allowing you to ride with the chin bar in either the open (jet) or closed (full-face) position.
- To Raise the Chin Bar: Locate the release mechanism (typically a button or lever at the front base of the chin bar). Press this mechanism and lift the chin bar upwards until it locks securely into the open position.
- To Lower the Chin Bar: Press the release mechanism again and gently push the chin bar downwards until it securely latches into the closed, full-face position. Ensure it is fully locked before riding.
- Auto-up / Auto-down System: The patented system automatically adjusts the main visor's position when the chin bar is moved, ensuring smooth transitions between configurations.
Main Visor (VZ 150)
The VZ 150 main visor is treated for anti-scratch and anti-fog properties.
- Opening/Closing: Use the tab located on the visor to easily raise or lower it.
- Quick Removal System: For cleaning or replacement, the visor can be quickly removed. Consult the detailed instructions provided in the physical manual for specific steps on releasing the visor mechanism.
Integrated Sun Visor
The helmet includes an integrated UV380 approved anti-scratch sun visor for protection against glare.
- Deployment/Retraction: Use the slider mechanism, typically located on the left side of the helmet, to deploy or retract the sun visor as needed.
Ventilation System
The EVO-ES helmet is equipped with 3 air inlets and 2 air extractors to provide optimal airflow and comfort.
- Adjusting Vents: Locate the sliders or switches on the helmet's exterior (typically on the chin bar and top of the helmet) to open or close the air inlets and extractors, controlling the internal airflow.

5. Maintenance
Exterior Cleaning
To maintain the appearance and integrity of your helmet:
- Clean the helmet shell with a soft, damp cloth and a mild, pH-neutral soap.
- Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the shell material and finish.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Visor Cleaning
Proper care of your visors ensures clear vision:
- Clean both the main visor and the integrated sun visor with a soft cloth and warm water.
- For stubborn dirt or insects, use a specialized helmet visor cleaner.
- Never use abrasive cleaners, paper towels, or rough cloths, as these can scratch the anti-scratch coatings.
- Allow visors to air dry or gently pat dry with a microfiber cloth.
Interior Cleaning
The "BIRD EYES" interior textile is designed for easy cleaning:
- Carefully remove the interior padding from the helmet.
- Wash the padding by hand or in a washing machine on a gentle cycle at a maximum temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). Use a mild detergent.
- Do not tumble dry. Allow the padding to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area, away from direct heat or sunlight, before reinserting it into the helmet.
Storage
Proper storage extends the life of your helmet:
- Store your helmet in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and humidity.
- Use a helmet bag to protect it from dust and scratches when not in use.
- Do not store the helmet near chemicals or solvents that could damage its materials.
6. Troubleshooting
Visor Fogging
- Ensure the anti-fog coating on your VZ 150 visor is intact and clean.
- Check that the helmet's ventilation ports are open to allow for proper airflow.
- In very cold or humid conditions, slightly crack the visor open or consider using an additional anti-fog insert if fogging persists.
Chin Bar Not Latching Securely
- Ensure there are no obstructions (e.g., scarf, clothing, debris) preventing the chin bar from fully closing and engaging the locking mechanism.
- Check the locking mechanism itself for any visible damage or foreign objects.
- If the issue persists, do not use the helmet in full-face mode and contact customer support.
Discomfort or Pressure Points
- Verify that you have the correct helmet size by re-measuring your head and comparing it to the sizing chart.
- Ensure the helmet is positioned correctly on your head.
- Allow for a break-in period for new padding, as it will conform to your head over time.
- If you wear glasses, ensure the EasyFit system is properly accommodating them.
