1. Product Overview

The OSCEVIA Smart Meat Thermometer is a wireless digital thermometer designed to help you achieve perfectly cooked meats with ease. It features Bluetooth connectivity, a smart app for real-time monitoring, and a durable, waterproof probe.

2. Setup Guide

2.1 Initial Charging

Before first use, fully charge the thermometer probe and smart base. Connect the USB-C charging cable to the smart base and a power source. Place the probe into the smart base to charge. A full charge takes approximately 20 minutes and provides up to 36 hours of continuous working time.

2.2 App Installation and Pairing

  1. Download the official OSCEVIA Smart Meat Thermometer app from your device's app store (iOS/Android).
  2. Ensure your smartphone's Bluetooth and location services are enabled.
  3. Open the app. The app will automatically search for and connect to the smart base.
  4. Once connected, the app will display the probe's status. If connection issues occur, ensure the probe is properly seated in the base and within range.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Probe Insertion

Insert the metal probe into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones. Ensure the probe is inserted deep enough so that the internal temperature sensor (the tip) is fully within the meat and the external sensor (the black part) is exposed to the ambient cooking temperature.

3.2 Using the Smart App

The advanced app serves as your personal sous-chef. It allows you to:

  • Monitor real-time internal and ambient temperatures.
  • Select from pre-set meat types and desired doneness levels.
  • Customize cook alerts and target temperatures.
  • Receive notifications when your meat is ready.
  • View estimated cooking times.

3.3 Remote Monitoring

With enhanced wireless technology, the smart base transmits signals up to 262ft (without occlusion). This allows you to monitor your cooking from a distance, whether you are outdoors grilling or in your kitchen.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Cleaning

The OSCEVIA Wireless Meat Thermometer probe is IP67 waterproof and dishwasher-safe. After cooking, allow the probe to cool down before cleaning. It can be washed by hand or placed in a dishwasher for thorough cleaning.

4.2 Battery Care and Storage

The smart base has a built-in 2000mAh battery with smart charging protection. For optimal battery life, store the probe in its charging base when not in use. The device has a 6-month standby time. Store the thermometer in a cool, dry place.

4.3 Magnetic Design

The smart base features a magnetic design, allowing it to be conveniently attached to metallic surfaces such as refrigerators or knife racks for easy access and storage.

5. Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions:

  • Connection Failure: Ensure Bluetooth and location services are enabled on your smartphone. Make sure the probe is fully charged and within the 262ft range of the smart base. Restarting the app or your phone may also resolve connection issues.
  • Inaccurate Readings: Ensure the probe is inserted correctly into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bones. Verify that the probe's internal sensor is fully submerged in the meat and the external sensor is exposed to ambient air.
  • App Not Responding: Close and reopen the app. If the issue persists, restart your smartphone.
  • Probe Melting/Damage: The probe is designed to withstand high heats (internal up to 212°F/100°C, external up to 572°F/300°C). Ensure the probe is not exposed to temperatures exceeding these limits. Avoid direct flame contact with the black part of the probe.
