5. Setup and Installation

Before you begin, ensure you have the necessary tools: a drill, stud finder (if mounting to wood studs), level, Phillips head screwdriver, and a pencil.

  1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a sturdy wall location. For wood stud walls, use a stud finder to locate the center of a stud. For concrete or brick walls, use appropriate anchors (not always included, may need to be purchased separately).
  2. Mark Drill Holes: Hold the wall plate of the mount against the wall at your desired height. Use a level to ensure it is straight and mark the drill holes with a pencil.
  3. Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. The drill bit size will depend on your wall type and the provided anchors/screws.
  4. Attach Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate to the wall using the provided screws and anchors. Ensure it is firmly attached and level.
  5. Attach VESA Plates to Monitors: Carefully place your monitor face down on a soft, clean surface. Align the VESA plate from the mount with the mounting holes on the back of your monitor. Use the appropriate screws (usually M4 or M6, check your monitor manual) from the mounting kit to secure the VESA plate to the monitor. Do not overtighten. Repeat for the second monitor.
  6. Attaching VESA plate to monitor

Image 2: Illustrates the process of attaching the VESA mounting plate to the back of a monitor using screws.

  7. Mount Monitors to Arms: With assistance, carefully lift each monitor and slide its attached VESA plate onto the corresponding arm of the wall mount. Ensure the monitor clicks securely into place. There may be a safety screw or clip to further secure it; engage this if present.
  8. Cable Management: Route your monitor cables through the integrated cable management channels on the arms to maintain a tidy appearance.

6. Operating Instructions and Adjustments

The Deltaco ARM-0361 features a gas spring mechanism for easy adjustments. After mounting your monitors, you may need to adjust the gas spring tension to match the weight of your screens.

  • Gas Spring Tension Adjustment: If your monitor sags or floats upwards, use the included Allen key to adjust the tension screw located on the arm. Turn clockwise to increase tension (for heavier monitors) or counter-clockwise to decrease tension (for lighter monitors). Adjust until the monitor stays in position when moved.
  • Height Adjustment: Simply push or pull the monitor up or down to your desired height. The gas spring will hold it in place.
  • Swivel Adjustment: Rotate the monitor arms left or right to achieve the desired viewing angle (up to +90° ~ -90°).
  • Tilt Adjustment: Tilt the monitor screen up or down (up to +90° ~ -45°) to reduce glare and optimize viewing comfort.
  • Rotation Adjustment: The VESA plate allows for 360° rotation, enabling you to switch between landscape and portrait orientations.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Periodic Checks: Every few months, check all screws and connections to ensure they are still tight and secure. Re-tighten if necessary.
  • Gas Spring: The gas spring is designed for long-term use and generally requires no maintenance. If you notice a significant change in its performance, refer to the troubleshooting section or contact support.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Monitor Sags or Floats: This indicates incorrect gas spring tension. Refer to the "Gas Spring Tension Adjustment" in Section 6 and adjust the tension screw until the monitor holds its position.
  • Difficulty Moving Monitor: If the monitor is stiff to move, the gas spring tension might be too high for a lighter monitor, or the pivot points might need lubrication (use a silicone-based lubricant sparingly).
  • Mount Feels Unstable: Ensure all wall plate screws are securely tightened. Verify that the wall can support the weight. If mounted to wood studs, ensure screws are fully engaged in the stud. If using anchors, ensure they are properly installed.
  • Monitors Not Level: Check the wall plate installation with a level. Some VESA plates also offer minor leveling adjustments; consult the specific VESA plate design.
