This manual provides detailed instructions for the operation and maintenance of your Retekess TR621 CD and Cassette Player Combo with AM/FM Radio, USB, and TF card playback, as well as the Retekess TR604 Portable AM/FM Radio. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the devices to ensure proper function and longevity.

2. Product Overview

2.1 Retekess TR621 Features

  • CD Player: Supports CD, CDR, CDRW, MP3, and WMA format discs.
  • Cassette Player/Recorder: Supports standard size tapes. Allows fast forward and rewind. Records from CD, radio, and external sources (does not record to CD).

3. Setup

3.1 Powering the Retekess TR621

The TR621 can be powered by either AC electricity or batteries.

  • AC Power: Connect the provided AC power cord to the AC input jack on the unit and then to a standard 110V wall outlet.
  • Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the bottom of the unit. Insert 6 new D-cell batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

3.2 Powering the Retekess TR604

The TR604 can be powered by either AC electricity or batteries.

  • AC Power: Connect the provided AC power cord to the AC input jack on the unit and then to a standard wall outlet. Ensure the AC cable is fully inserted into the AC socket.
  • Battery Power: Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit. Insert 3 new D-cell batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

4. Operating the Retekess TR621

4.1 CD Playback

  1. Gently press the 'OPEN' button or the designated area on the CD compartment lid to open it.
  2. Place a CD (CD, CDR, CDRW, MP3, or WMA format) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
  3. Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it clicks.
  4. Press the 'PLAY/PAUSE' button to start playback.
  5. Adjust the volume using the 'VOLUME' knob.
  6. Use the 'SKIP+' and 'SKIP-' buttons to navigate between tracks.

4.2 Cassette Playback

  1. Press the 'STOP/EJ' button on the cassette deck to open the cassette door.
  2. Insert a standard cassette tape into the compartment.
  3. Close the cassette door.
  4. Press the 'PLAY' button to start playback.
  5. Adjust the volume using the 'VOLUME' knob.
  6. Use 'F.FW' (Fast Forward) and 'REW' (Rewind) buttons to navigate the tape.
  7. Press 'STOP/EJ' to stop playback and eject the tape.

4.3 USB & TF Card Playback

  1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or a TF (micro SD) card into the TF card slot.

  3. Press the 'PLAY/PAUSE' button to start playback of MP3/WMA files.
  4. Adjust the volume using the 'VOLUME' knob.

4.4 AM/FM Radio Operation (TR621)

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal FM reception.

4.5 Recording Function (TR621)

The TR621 can record audio from CDs, radio, or external sources onto a cassette tape.

  1. Insert a blank cassette tape into the cassette deck.
  2. Select the desired source (CD, Radio, or external input).
  3. Press the 'RECORD' button on the TR621. The unit will automatically start recording the audio from the selected source onto the cassette tape.
  4. Press 'STOP/EJ' to end the recording.

4.6 Remote Control Usage (TR621)

The remote control allows convenient operation of CD and USB/TF playback functions from a distance of up to 32 feet.

  • Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote control and the TR621's IR sensor.
  • Use the buttons on the remote for play, pause, stop, skip tracks, and volume adjustment for CD and USB/TF modes.
  • Note: The remote control does not operate the cassette player or radio functions.

5. Operating the Retekess TR604

5.1 AM/FM Radio Operation (TR604)

  1. Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception.
  2. Turn the 'POWER/VOLUME' knob clockwise to turn on the radio and adjust the volume.
  3. Select either 'AM' or 'FM' band using the band selector switch.
  4. Rotate the 'TUNING' knob to find your desired station. The large dial makes tuning easier.

  • Clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • For the TR621 CD player, keep the CD compartment clean and free of dust. Avoid touching the laser lens.
  • For the TR621 cassette player, periodically clean the tape heads and pinch rollers with a cotton swab lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol.
  • Remove batteries if the units will not be used for an extended period to prevent leakage.
