1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

• Never ignore an alarm. Investigate the cause immediately.

4. Product Overview

4.1 Smoke Alarm

The smoke alarm features a photoelectric sensor for rapid detection of smoldering fires. It includes a power/test/mute button, an 85dB audible alarm, and a 10-year sealed lithium battery. The casing is made from fire-resistant ABS material.

4.2 Heat Alarm

4.3 Remote Controller

5.1 Battery Activation

The alarms come with pre-installed, sealed 10-year lithium batteries. Upon first use, the alarms are typically activated by removing a small plastic tab or by rotating the alarm onto its mounting bracket. Refer to the specific instructions on the alarm unit for activation.

5.2 Mounting the Alarms

You can mount the alarms using either the provided screw kits or double-sided adhesive pads. For a secure and permanent installation, screw mounting is recommended.

1. Choose a suitable location (refer to Section 6: Placement Guidelines).
2. For screw mounting: Mark the drill holes using the mounting bracket. Drill holes, insert wall plugs (if necessary), and secure the bracket with screws. Attach the alarm to the bracket by twisting it clockwise until it clicks into place.
3. For adhesive pad mounting: Ensure the mounting surface is clean, dry, and smooth. Peel the protective film from one side of the adhesive pad and attach it to the back of the alarm. Peel the other side and firmly press the alarm onto the desired ceiling or wall location for at least 30 seconds.

5.3 Interlinking the Alarms

Your alarms are typically pre-linked from the factory. If you need to add more alarms or re-link them, follow these steps:

1. Ensure all alarms are powered on.
2. Press the 'Pair' button on the remote controller. The LED indicators on the alarms should flash, indicating they are in pairing mode.
3. Once paired, the alarms will confirm with a beep or a specific LED pattern.
4. The maximum interlink quantity is 30 alarms per group, with a linkable distance of up to 100m in open outdoor areas.

6. Placement Guidelines

Proper placement is crucial for effective fire detection.

• Smoke Alarms: Install in bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, and on every level of your home. For optimal protection, place one inside each sleeping area and outside each separate sleeping area.
• Heat Alarms: Ideal for kitchens, garages, and other areas where smoke alarms might trigger false alarms due to cooking fumes, steam, or vehicle exhaust. Heat alarms are less prone to nuisance alarms in these environments.
• Avoid: Placing alarms near windows, doors, or air vents where drafts could interfere with smoke/heat reaching the sensor. Also avoid dead air spaces, such as the peak of a vaulted ceiling or corners where walls and ceilings meet.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 Testing the Alarms

Test your alarms weekly or at least monthly to ensure they are functioning correctly.

• Manual Test: Press and hold the Power/Test/Mute button on each alarm for a few seconds. The alarm will sound, and the LED will flash. If interlinked, all connected alarms should also sound.
• Remote Control Test: Press the 'Test' button on the remote controller. All interlinked alarms will sound.

7.2 Mute/Silent Function

In case of a nuisance alarm (e.g., from cooking fumes), you can temporarily silence the alarm.

• Manual Mute: Press the Power/Test/Mute button on the alarming unit.
• Remote Control Mute: Press the 'Mute' button on the remote controller.

The alarm will silence for a short period (e.g., 5-10 minutes) and then automatically reset. If the smoke/heat is still present, the alarm will sound again.

7.3 Alarm Indications

• Alarm State: Loud 85dB pulsating sound and rapid flashing LED.
• Normal Operation: LED flashes briefly every 60 seconds.
• Low Battery: The alarm will chirp periodically (e.g., every 60 seconds) and the LED will flash. Since these are 10-year sealed batteries, this indicates the end of the product's life and the unit should be replaced.

Dust and debris can accumulate on the alarms and affect their performance. Clean your alarms at least once a month.

• Gently vacuum the alarm's cover and vents using a soft brush attachment.
