4. Installation

Important Safety Notice: Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure power is disconnected before attempting any wiring.

  1. Mounting: The TM618N-2 is designed for DIN rail mounting or screw mounting. Secure the timer in a suitable electrical enclosure.
  2. Wiring: Refer to the wiring diagram on the back of the unit.

    • Input (Terminals 1 & 2): Connect your 200-250VAC power supply to these terminals.
    • Output (Terminals 3, 4, & 5):
      • Terminal 3: Common (COM)
      • Terminal 4: Normally Open (NO) - Connect your load here for switched power.
      • Terminal 5: Normally Closed (NC) - (Less commonly used for timer applications, but available).
  3. Power On: Once wiring is complete and secure, restore power to the circuit. The timer display should illuminate.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Button Functions

5.2. Setting Current Time and Day

  1. Press and hold the CLOCK button.
  2. While holding CLOCK, press WEEK to set the current day (MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU).
  3. While holding CLOCK, press HOUR to set the current hour.
  4. While holding CLOCK, press MIN to set the current minute.
  5. Release the CLOCK button to save the settings.

5.3. Programming ON/OFF Schedules

The timer supports up to 16 ON and 16 OFF programs. Each program can be set for a specific day or group of days.

  1. Press the PROG button once. The display will show "1 ON".
  2. Press WEEK repeatedly to select the desired day(s) for this program (e.g., MO, TU, WE, TH, FR, SA, SU; MO-FR; SA-SU; MO-SA; etc.).
  3. Press HOUR to set the desired ON hour.
  4. Press MIN to set the desired ON minute.
  5. Press PROG again. The display will show "1 OFF".
  6. Repeat steps 2-4 to set the desired OFF time for the first program.
  7. Press PROG to move to the next program ("2 ON", "2 OFF", etc.) and repeat the process for up to 16 programs.
  8. To exit programming mode and save settings, press the CLOCK button.

Press the MANUAL button to cycle through the output modes:

Ensure the timer is in AUTO mode for programmed operation.

5.5. Resetting the Timer

To clear all settings and return the timer to its factory default state, insert a pointed object (like a paperclip) into the small R (Reset) hole and press gently.

The Sinotimer TM618N-2 requires minimal maintenance.
