  • USB-A Interface (USB Host): A standard full-speed USB MIDI Host interface used for connecting your USB MIDI device and providing power to it.
  • MIDI 5-Pin Interfaces (MIDI In/Out): High-performance MIDI interfaces with one input and one output, supporting 16 channels of standard MIDI data.
  • Indicators:
    • Power Indicator: Illuminates when the device is powered on.
    • USB Work Indicator: Indicates active USB connection and data transfer.
    • MIDI In/Out Indicators: Flash to show MIDI data transmission and reception.

  • Handling: Handle the device with care. Avoid dropping it or subjecting it to strong impacts, which could damage the internal circuitry or connectors.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the device is placed in an area with adequate ventilation to prevent overheating, although this device typically generates minimal heat.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your DOREMiDi UMH-10, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power:
    • Ensure the 5V DC USB power adapter is securely connected to the "Power In" port and plugged into a working power outlet.
    • Try a different USB power adapter and cable to rule out faulty accessories.
    • Check if the power indicator light on the UMH-10 is illuminated.
  • USB MIDI Device Not Recognized:
    • Ensure your USB MIDI device is properly connected to the "USB HOST" port.
    • Verify that your USB MIDI device is compatible with a standard USB MIDI Host. Some devices may require specific drivers or higher power than the UMH-10 can provide.
    • Try connecting a different USB MIDI device to confirm the UMH-10's USB host functionality.
    • Some USB MIDI devices may require external power if the UMH-10 cannot supply sufficient power.
  • No MIDI Data Transmission/Reception:
    • Check all 5-pin DIN MIDI cable connections. Ensure they are securely plugged into the correct "MIDI IN" and "MIDI OUT" ports on both the UMH-10 and your external MIDI hardware.
    • Verify that the MIDI In/Out indicators on the UMH-10 are flashing when data is expected.
    • Confirm that your MIDI hardware is configured to send/receive on the correct MIDI channels.
    • Test with different MIDI cables to rule out faulty cables.
  • Intermittent Connection:
    • Ensure all cables are firmly seated and not loose.
    • Avoid placing the device near sources of strong electromagnetic interference.
