Setup and Installation

Follow these steps carefully for successful installation. A screwdriver is included for your convenience.

  1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door meets the required dimensions (backset, door thickness). The lock fits most US standard doors.

  2. Install the Deadbolt Latch: Insert the deadbolt latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.
  3. Install the Exterior Assembly: Route the cable from the exterior assembly through the door hole and align the spindle with the latch.
  4. Install the Interior Mounting Plate: Secure the interior mounting plate to the exterior assembly using the provided screws.
  5. Connect the Cable and Install the Interior Assembly: Connect the cable to the interior assembly. Attach the interior assembly to the mounting plate, ensuring the thumb turn operates smoothly.
  6. Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries (not included) into the battery compartment of the interior assembly.
  7. Install the Strike Plate: Install the strike plate on the door frame, aligning it with the deadbolt latch.
