1. Introduction

The Hoover PowerDash Pet Advanced Compact Carpet Cleaner Machine, Model FH55050PC, is designed for efficient cleaning of carpets, stairs, and upholstery. Its lightweight and compact design ensures ease of use and convenient storage. Featuring a PowerSpin Pet Brush Roll and HeatForce technology, this machine is engineered to tackle tough pet messes and everyday stains, providing faster drying times.

2. What's in the Box

Verify that all components are present before assembly and operation:

3. Setup

Follow these steps to prepare your carpet cleaner for first use:

1. Handle Assembly: Insert the handle into the main unit until it clicks securely into place.
2. Fill Clean Water Tank: Remove the clean water tank from the unit. Unscrew the cap, fill with warm water up to the indicated line, and add the appropriate Hoover cleaning solution up to the solution line. Securely replace the cap and reinsert the tank into the unit.

3. Power Cord: Unwind the power cord from the cord hooks.

4. Operation

The Hoover PowerDash Pet Advanced is designed for both carpet and above-floor cleaning.

4.1 Carpet Cleaning

1. Power On: Plug the power cord into a suitable outlet. Press the power button located on the unit.
2. Recline Handle: Step on the foot pedal at the base of the unit and recline the handle to the operating position.
3. Cleaning Passes: Push the cleaner forward slowly while pressing the solution trigger to apply cleaning solution. Pull the cleaner backward slowly over the same area without pressing the trigger to suction up the dirty water. Repeat passes until the water being extracted appears clean.

4. HeatForce Technology: The built-in HeatForce technology aids in faster drying. For optimal drying, make several dry passes over the cleaned area.

4.2 Above-Floor Cleaning with Attachments

1. Attach Hose: Open the accessory hose port on the front of the unit and securely attach the accessory hose.
2. Select Tool: Connect the desired 2-in-1 Pet Tool to the end of the hose.
3. Clean: Press the solution trigger on the tool to spray solution onto the surface (e.g., stairs, upholstery). Scrub gently with the tool's bristles. Release the trigger and apply downward pressure while pulling the tool towards you to suction up the dirty solution.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your carpet cleaner.

1. Empty Dirty Water Tank: After each use, remove the dirty water tank from the unit. Unlatch the lid and pour out the dirty water. Rinse the tank thoroughly with clean water.
2. Clean Nozzle and Brush Roll: The clear nozzle cover can be removed for easy access to the PowerSpin Pet Brush Roll. Remove any hair or debris from the brush roll and rinse the nozzle cover. Use the provided nozzle cleanout tool if necessary.

3. Storage: Once all components are clean and dry, reassemble the unit and store it in a cool, dry place. Wrap the power cord neatly around the cord hooks.
