2. Safety Information
Always adhere to basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plugs, or the appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
- The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
- Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug from wall outlet.
- Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
- This cooktop is equipped with an over-temperature protection system that automatically shuts down the unit if it overheats.
- The residual heat indicator will show 'H' when the surface is hot after use. Avoid touching until it cools down.

Control Panel Features:
- ON/OFF Button: Powers the cooktop on or off.
- Power Level Controls (+/-): Adjusts the heating power for each burner (0-9 levels for large burner, L/HI for small burner).
- Timer Button: Sets the cooking timer (up to 99 minutes).

4. Setup and Installation

4.1 Countertop Use:
For countertop use, simply place the cooktop on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. The cooktop comes with pre-installed bottom brackets for stability.

4.2 Built-in Installation:
If you choose to install the cooktop as a built-in unit, ensure your countertop opening matches the specified cut-out dimensions. The cooktop is designed to fit seamlessly into a standard 12-inch cooktop cutout.

- Cut-out size: 19.3" x 10.63" x 1.57" (490mm x 270mm x 40mm)

The cooktop operates on 110-120V and comes with a standard plug, eliminating the need for complex electrical wiring by a professional electrician.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Powering On/Off:
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the cooktop on. The display will show '—'. Press it again to turn the cooktop off.

5.2 Adjusting Power Levels:
After turning on, select the desired cooking zone. Use the + or - buttons to adjust the power level.
- The large burner (1400W) has 9 power levels (1-9) suitable for various cooking needs like braising, frying, simmering, steaming, boiling, stir-frying, and roasting.
- The small burner (600W) has two power levels: "L" (Low) for gentle heating and "HI" (High) for faster heating. This burner is ideal for keeping food warm or heating small quantities like coffee or milk.
5.3 Timer Function:
Press the TIMER button to activate the timer. Use the + or - buttons to set the desired cooking time, up to 99 minutes. The cooktop will automatically turn off when the timer expires.
5.4 Child Safety Lock:
To activate the child safety lock, press and hold the LOCK button for a few seconds until the lock indicator appears. This prevents accidental changes to settings or turning on the cooktop. To deactivate, press and hold the LOCK button again.
5.5 Pause Function:
Press the PAUSE button to temporarily stop the cooking process. The cooktop will maintain its current settings but will not heat. Press PAUSE again to resume cooking.
5.6 Cookware Compatibility:
The ceramic cooktop is compatible with all types of cookware, including iron, aluminum, stainless steel, glass, and ceramic pots and pans. Ensure the cookware base is flat and covers the heating zone adequately for optimal performance.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your cooktop.
6.1 Cleaning the Ceramic Glass Surface:
The smooth vitroceramic surface is easy to clean. Always ensure the cooktop is cool before cleaning to avoid burns and damage to the surface.
- Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth.
- For stubborn stains or burnt-on food, use a ceramic cooktop cleaner and the included scraper.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals, as these can scratch or damage the glass surface.
- Wipe dry with a clean cloth to prevent water spots.

6.2 General Care:
- Avoid dropping heavy objects on the cooktop surface, as this may cause cracks.
- Do not slide rough-bottomed cookware across the surface to prevent scratches.
7. Troubleshooting
