Safety Precautions
Precautions for Electricity Safety
- This product is for household use only.
- The power supply voltage must be 110-120V/60Hz.
- Use a socket with a current of more than 10A individually. It must NOT be used with other electrical equipment, as this may cause safety problems.
Ensure Surrounding Safety Before Using the Product
- Do not use the hob when the induction cooker is empty (without food or water).
- Keep this product out of reach of children to avoid scalding and electric shock.
- Place the hob on a heat-insulated horizontal tabletop.
- Do not place the product near flammable objects or heat sources, such as curtains, drapes, wooden walls, or similar items.
- Do not place the hob on carpets, tablecloths, or tissue paper.
- Do not place plastic, paper, or other flammable items on the stove surface to avoid danger.
- Do not block the suction and exhaust ports.
Precautions for Use
- Do not pull out the plug during product use.
- Do not immerse or contact with water when using the product. Do not plug it in if there is water on its surface.
Maintenance Rule
- Unplug the product and allow the panel to cool before cleaning.
- Do not unplug the power plug immediately after use. Keep it plugged in for 10 minutes to allow the built-in ventilation system to cool the hob and prevent overheating and accelerated aging.
- Avoid scratching the surface with sharp objects and heavy objects falling on the glass panel, which may cause panel cracking.
- Do not rinse it directly with water or immerse it in water for cleaning.
- Daily cleaning can be done with wet rags. For stubborn stains, use the scraper provided on the package, tilting it 45 degrees to scrape the stains.
- To clean the exhaust vent, use a soft brush or a vacuum cleaner.
Product Failure
- Do not disassemble the machine yourself if the product is damaged or faulty.
Installation Instructions
Before Using
- Remove the exterior packing.
- Check for any damage to the unit.
- Clean the unit thoroughly with a recommended hob cleaner to provide a clean, shiny coating on the hob surface.
Installation Guidelines for Countertop Cutout
Please follow these directions to prepare the countertop cutout:
- A - Maximum depth of overhead cabinets: 13 inches.
- B - Minimum height of countertop above floor: 36 inches.
- C - The minimum flat countertop surface that the cooktop will rest upon must be equal to or greater than the overall cooktop dimensions.
- D - Minimum clearance between the top of the cooking surface and the bottom of an unprotected wood or metal cabinet: 30 inches. Minimum clearance when the bottom of wood or metal cabinet is protected by not less than 1/4-inch thick flame retardant millboard covered with not less than No. 28 MSG sheet steel, 0.015-inch-thick stainless steel, 0.024-inch-thick aluminum, or 0.020-inch-thick copper: 24 inches.
- E - Minimum from backsplash of countertop to edge of glass: 1 inch.
NOTE: Do not install closer than 1/2 inch (12 mm) from any adjacent surface.
Ensure there is enough space for cleaning and ventilation.
WARNING: To eliminate the risk of burns by reaching over heated surface units, avoid having cabinet storage space located above surface units. If cabinet storage is to be provided, the risk can be reduced by installing a range hood that projects horizontally a minimum of 5 inches beyond the bottom of the cabinets.
Installation Dimensions
The installation diagrams for Model PF602SGB (120V 60Hz, 1000W+1000W) illustrate various dimensions and clearances. A top-down view shows an overall width of 23⅝" (600mm) and an overall depth of 13¾" (350mm). The cutout dimensions are a minimum of 12⅝" (320mm) to a maximum of 13⅜" (335mm) for depth, and a minimum of 22⁷⁄₁₆" (570mm) to a maximum of 22⅞" (581mm) for width. The minimum clearance from the edge of the cutout to the rear edge of the countertop is 2" (51mm), and to the front edge of the countertop is 2½" (64mm). Side clearances to combustible materials are also 2" (51mm). A side view indicates an overall height of 2⅝" (65mm). An illustrative cabinet installation diagram shows a minimum height clearance of 5³/₁₆" (132mm) from the cooktop surface to the bottom of an overhead cabinet, with a total cabinet height of 36" (914mm) from the floor. Ventilation is indicated around the cooktop.
Installing the Cooktop
- Ensure there is enough space under the table for ventilation; otherwise, the bottom of the induction hob may overheat.
- Ensure there are no other large appliances at least 2 inches below the product.
- If the hob is installed above an oven, keep the power cord from contacting the oven.
NOTE: The countertop cutout corners typically have a 1/4" radius.
Four mounting brackets are supplied with the electric cooktop to hold it firmly in place. The cooktop should be bedded to the countertop using a soft bedding compound (e.g., a very small bead of silicone sealant) to prevent damage if later removal for service is necessary.
A diagram illustrates the cooktop installation, showing the cooktop resting on the countertop. Mounting brackets are secured from underneath the countertop to the cooktop using screws.
Position the cooktop in the cutout opening and press firmly on all sides to seal the frame into the bedding compound. Secure the mounting brackets to the cooktop from underneath with the supplied screws.
Installation Instructions: Countertop and Built-in
Countertop Use
A diagram shows the underside of the hob with four designated points for attaching stand bars. These stand bars are included in the packaging.
Locate the 4 stand bars in the packaging. Screw them into the bottom of the unit, then the unit can be used directly on the countertop.
Built-in Installation
A diagram shows various small parts, likely screws and brackets, used for installation.
This appliance is not user serviceable. Installation must be completed by a qualified technician.
Warning! For Your Safety: Do not store or use gasoline or other flammable vapors and liquids in the vicinity of this or any other appliance. To eliminate the risk of burns or fire due to overheating, cabinets located above the induction unit should be avoided. If cabinet space is available, the risk can be reduced by installing a range hood that projects horizontally a minimum of 5 inches below the bottom of the cabinets.
Important Installation Information
All electric cooktops run off a single phase, three-wire cable, 120V/60Hz AC only electrical supply with ground. The installation should be made using wires, conduits, and fittings sized in accordance with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
