5. Maintenance

5.1 Filter Changes

Regularly check and replace filters to maintain optimal performance. The vacuum uses a filter bag and reusable filter paper for dry applications, and a foam sleeve for wet applications.

  • Dry Filter: Replace the filter bag and reusable filter paper when they become full or show signs of wear.
  • Wet Filter: The foam sleeve should be cleaned after each wet use and replaced if damaged.

5.2 Cleaning the Collection Tank

To clean the 4-gallon collection tank, unlatch the motor unit from the tank. Dispose of collected debris or liquids responsibly. Wipe the inside of the tank clean with a damp cloth.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Shop-Vac, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Power: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 110V outlet. Check the power switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Loss of Suction: Check the hose for blockages. Ensure filters are clean and correctly installed. The collection tank might be full and needs emptying.
  • Unusual Noise: Inspect the motor unit for any loose parts or obstructions. Ensure the filters are not clogged.
