The Smof Fino1 Bluetooth 5.0 Audio Receiver is designed to upgrade traditional wired audio systems with Bluetooth connectivity. This device allows you to wirelessly stream audio from your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices to your existing home stereo, wired speakers, or home theater system, enabling them to play modern digital music.

It supports Bluetooth V5.0 technology for stable and efficient audio transmission and includes a 3D Surround Sound feature for an enhanced listening experience. The Fino1 is a Bluetooth receiver only and does not function as a transmitter.

Setup Instructions

1. Power Connection: Connect the provided USB Type C cable to the Fino1 receiver and plug the other end into a 5V power supply (e.g., a USB wall adapter or a USB port on your audio system).

   Important Note: Use only a 5V power supply. Using incompatible power sources (e.g., 9V/12V) may damage the device.

2. Audio Connection: Connect the Fino1 receiver to your audio device (e.g., home stereo, wired speakers) using either the 3.5mm audio cable or the 3.5mm female to 2 RCA male stereo audio cable, depending on your audio system's input. Ensure the cable is securely connected to the audio input port of your speaker system.
3. Pairing with a Bluetooth Device:
   • Turn on the Fino1 receiver. The Bluetooth indicator light will begin to flash, indicating it is in pairing mode.
   • On your smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device, go to the Bluetooth settings.
   • Search for available devices and select "Fino-1" from the list to connect.
   • Once connected, the Bluetooth indicator light on the Fino1 will remain solid.

Operating Instructions

Basic Audio Streaming

After successful pairing, you can now play audio from your connected Bluetooth device. The sound will be transmitted wirelessly to your Fino1 receiver and then output through your wired speaker system.

3D Surround Sound Function

• To activate the 3D Surround Sound feature, press the "3D" button located on the top of the Fino1 receiver.
• When activated, a blue light will illuminate around the "3D" button.
• This feature processes audio to simulate a surround sound experience, making the sound source appear to come from different directions.
• Press the "3D" button again to deactivate the 3D Surround Sound.

Using with Amazon Echo Dot (Alexa)

The Fino1 receiver can be used with an Amazon Echo Dot to enable Alexa to play music through your traditional stereo system.

1. Connect the Fino1 receiver to your speaker system using the 3.5mm jack or RCA cable.
2. Open the Alexa app on your smartphone or tablet.
3. Navigate to the Bluetooth settings within the Alexa app and pair your Echo device with the "Fino-1" receiver.
4. Ensure that your audio cable connects the Fino1 to your speaker, not directly to the Echo device.

Maintenance

• Keep the device clean and free from dust. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.
• Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures, humidity, or direct sunlight.
• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself, as this will void the warranty and may cause damage.

Troubleshooting

No Power / Device Not Turning On:

• Ensure the USB Type C cable is securely connected to both the Fino1 and a 5V power source.
• Verify that the power source is active and providing 5V.

Cannot Pair with Bluetooth Device:

• Make sure the Fino1's Bluetooth indicator light is flashing, indicating it is in pairing mode.
• Ensure your Bluetooth device is within range (typically up to 10 meters or 33 feet).
• Turn off and on the Bluetooth function on your source device (smartphone/tablet) and try searching again.
• If previously paired, try "forgetting" the device "Fino-1" from your source device's Bluetooth settings and then re-pair.

No Audio Output:

• Confirm that the Fino1 is successfully paired with your source device (solid blue light).
• Check all audio cable connections between the Fino1 and your speaker system. Ensure they are secure and connected to the correct input ports.
• Verify that your speaker system is powered on and set to the correct input source (e.g., AUX, RCA).
• Adjust the volume on both your source device and your speaker system.

Poor Audio Quality / Intermittent Connection:

• Reduce the distance between the Fino1 and your Bluetooth source device.
• Remove any obstacles (walls, large metal objects) that may interfere with the Bluetooth signal.
• Avoid placing the Fino1 near other devices that emit strong electromagnetic interference (e.g., Wi-Fi routers, microwaves).
