4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Headset

For low-latency gaming audio on PC, PlayStation, or Nintendo Switch, use the 2.4GHz wireless transceiver.

  1. Plug the USB-C wireless transceiver into an available USB-C port on your device. If your device only has USB-A ports, use a USB-C to USB-A adapter (not included).
  2. Power on your Razer Barracuda headset by pressing and holding the Power button until the LED indicator lights up.
  3. The headset will automatically connect to the transceiver. The LED indicator will show a solid color when connected.

4.3 Connecting via Bluetooth 5.2

For mobile devices (Android, iOS) or other Bluetooth-enabled platforms, use Bluetooth connectivity.

  1. Ensure the headset is powered on.
  2. Press and hold the SmartSwitch button on the headset until the LED indicator blinks blue, indicating Bluetooth pairing mode.
  3. On your mobile device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Razer Barracuda" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once paired, the LED indicator will show a solid blue light.

5. Operating the Headset

5.1 Power On/Off

  • To power off: Press and hold the Power button until the LED indicator turns off.

5.2 SmartSwitch Dual Wireless

The Razer Barracuda automatically switches between 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections. If you receive a call on your paired mobile device while using 2.4GHz wireless, the headset will automatically switch to the Bluetooth connection for the call. After the call ends, it will revert to the 2.4GHz connection.

  • To manually switch between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth: Briefly press the SmartSwitch button.

5.3 Volume Control

Adjust the audio output level using the volume control wheel located on the headset.

  • Roll the wheel up to increase volume.
  • Roll the wheel down to decrease volume.
