2. Important Safety Instructions

5. Setup and Installation

Installation should only be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure power is disconnected at the main circuit breaker before beginning installation.

  1. Choose Location: Select a suitable wall location, ensuring adequate space around the unit for operation and maintenance. Consider mounting height for accessibility.
  2. Mark Drilling Points: Use the provided mounting template (if applicable) or measure and mark the drilling points on the wall.
  3. Drill Holes: Drill holes at the marked points and insert wall anchors.
  4. Secure Mounting Plate: Attach the mounting plate (if separate) to the wall using the provided screws.
  5. Electrical Connection: Connect the electrical wiring to the terminal block inside the hand dryer, following the wiring diagram provided in the full installation guide. Ensure proper grounding.
  6. Mount Hand Dryer: Carefully mount the hand dryer unit onto the mounting plate or directly to the wall, securing it with screws.
  7. Restore Power: Once installation is complete and all connections are secure, restore power at the main circuit breaker.

6. Operating Instructions

The AIKE AK2070S hand dryer is designed for automatic, touch-free operation.

  1. Power On: Ensure the hand dryer is connected to a power supply and the main power switch (if present) is in the 'ON' position.
  2. Select Mode: Use the internal control panel (refer to Image 4.4) to select the desired operating mode:
    • Normal Temperature Mode: Air is blown at ambient temperature.
    • Automatic Heating Mode: The dryer automatically adjusts air temperature based on the room's ambient temperature for comfortable drying.
  3. Adjust Air Speed: If adjustable, use the control panel to set the preferred air speed.
  4. Hand Drying: Place your hands into the drying chamber. The infrared sensor will detect your hands and automatically activate the airflow. Move your hands slowly up and down to ensure even drying.
  5. Automatic Shut-off: The dryer will automatically stop once your hands are removed from the drying chamber.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and hygiene. Always disconnect power before performing any maintenance.

  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surface with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Emptying Water Tank: The hand dryer features a removable water collection tank at the bottom. Regularly check and empty this tank to prevent overflow and maintain hygiene. To remove, gently pull the tank outwards. After emptying, reinsert it securely.
