Setup

1. Battery Installation

The M210 printer requires 2 AAA batteries for operation. An optional rechargeable battery pack and AC power adapter are available separately for extended use. To install batteries:

1. Locate the battery compartment on the back of the printer.
2. Open the battery compartment cover.
3. Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Label Cartridge Installation

The M210 uses interchangeable label cartridges. To install a cartridge:

1. Open the cartridge door on the side of the printer.
2. Align the label cartridge with the slot and gently push it in until it clicks into place.
3. Close the cartridge door.

3. Initial Power On

Press the power button to turn on the printer. The LCD screen will illuminate, and the printer will be ready for use.

Operating Instructions

1. Creating and Printing Labels

The M210 offers various features to simplify label creation:

• Text Input: Use the QWERTY keypad to type your desired label text.
• Font Size and Style: Adjust font size from 6 to 40 points. The printer supports various font styles, though specific italic styles may not be available directly on the device.
• Auto-Format: Utilize 11 pre-loaded application design guides for rapid and accurate label creation, ensuring proper formatting for common labeling needs.
• Symbols and Graphics: Access a library of on-board symbols for specialized labeling.
• Saving Files: Store up to 12 label files, each up to 2MB, directly on the device for quick recall.
• Special Codes: Create UPC, DataMatrix, and QR Codes directly from the printer.
• Material Gauge: The onboard label material gauge tracks the amount of material remaining in the cartridge.

After entering your text and selecting desired options, press the PRINT button to generate the label. The ergonomic cutter holds onto the label after cutting for easy retrieval.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Printer

To ensure optimal print quality and longevity, regularly clean your M210 printer:

• Turn off the printer and remove the label cartridge.
• Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with isopropyl alcohol to wipe the print head and cutter blade.
• Allow all components to dry completely before reinserting the cartridge or turning on the printer.

2. Replacing Label Cartridges

When the label material runs out or you wish to change label types, replace the cartridge:

1. Open the cartridge door.
2. Gently pull out the empty or desired cartridge.
3. Insert a new Brady authentic label cartridge, ensuring it clicks into place.
4. Close the cartridge door.

Note: The M210 is designed for use with Brady authentic cartridges to ensure compatibility and performance. Look for the authentic logo on the packaging.
