2. Product Overview
The JET AFS-1000C is an advanced air filtration system designed to maintain clean air in workshops and similar environments. It features an automatic air quality sensor that adjusts fan speed based on dust levels, and a filter status indicator to notify users when filters need replacement.

3. Components Included

4. Setup
Mounting the Unit:
- Identify a suitable location for mounting, preferably in the center of your workspace for optimal air circulation.
- Ensure the mounting surface (e.g., ceiling joists) can safely support the unit's weight (approximately 33 pounds) plus any additional stress from operation.
- Install the four provided eye bolts securely into the mounting surface.
- Using appropriate chains or cables (not included), suspend the air filtration unit from the eye bolts, ensuring it is level and stable.
- Connect the unit to a standard 120V power outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
Control Panel and Remote:
The AFS-1000C can be operated directly from its front-mounted LED control panel or via the included radio frequency remote control. The angled LED display provides clear visibility, especially when the unit is ceiling-mounted.

Power On/Off:
Press the power button on the control panel or remote to turn the unit on or off.
Fan Speed Adjustment:
The unit features six fan speeds, ranging from 450 CFM to 1000 CFM. Use the 'Speed' buttons on the control panel or remote to cycle through the available speeds. The automatic air quality sensor will adjust the fan speed as needed based on detected dust levels.

Timer Function:
Set the unit to run for a specified duration using the 'Timer' function. The timer can be set for up to 16 hours, after which the unit will automatically shut off. This is useful for clearing the air after you leave the workspace.
Filter Status Indicator:
The control panel includes a filter status indicator that displays the condition of your filters: 'Good', 'Replace Soon', or 'Replace'. Monitor this indicator to ensure optimal filtration performance.
6. Maintenance
Filter Replacement and Cleaning:
The AFS-1000C utilizes a two-stage filtration system: an electrostatic outer filter (5-micron) and an inner filter (1-micron). Regular inspection and replacement of filters are crucial for maintaining air quality and unit efficiency.

When the filter status indicator shows 'Replace Soon' or 'Replace', follow these steps:
- Disconnect the unit from the power source.
- Carefully open the filter access panel.
- Remove the old filters. Note that the electrostatic outer filter (part number 708731) is disposable, while the inner filter (part number 708733) is a three-bag heavy-duty cloth filter.
- For the inner filter, if it's a washable type (part number 708732), clean it according to manufacturer instructions. Otherwise, replace both filters with new ones.
- Insert the new or cleaned filters, ensuring they are properly seated.
- Close the filter access panel securely.
- Reconnect power and reset the filter indicator if necessary (refer to control panel instructions).
Optional specialty filters are available, such as a washable electrostatic outer filter (708732) for reusability and a charcoal filter (708734) for odor and smoke elimination.
7. Troubleshooting
If your JET AFS-1000C is not operating as expected, consider the following common issues:
- Unit does not power on: Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a 120V outlet. Verify the outlet has power.
- Reduced airflow or efficiency: Check the filter status indicator. Clogged filters significantly reduce performance and need to be cleaned or replaced. Ensure there are no obstructions to the air intake or exhaust.
- Unusual noise: Verify the unit is securely mounted and not vibrating against any surfaces. Check that filters are properly installed and not loose. If noise persists, contact customer support.
- Remote control not working: Replace the CR2032 battery in the remote. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the unit.
