1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the TimeFlys Smart Baby Monitor (Model: Smart Prado), a hybrid audio and IP video camera designed for monitoring babies, pets, or for home security. It combines traditional audio monitoring with remote video capabilities via a smartphone application, offering peace of mind and enhanced surveillance.

Key features include a super long audio range, 2-way audio communication, infrared night vision, and app control for convenient monitoring from anywhere.

2. Setup Guide

2.1. Package Contents

2.2. Initial Power On

To begin, ensure both the Baby Unit and Parent Unit are connected to a power source using the provided power cords.

Press and hold the power button on the Parent Unit for 3 seconds to turn it on. The Baby Unit will power on automatically when connected to power.

2.3. App Installation and Wi-Fi Connection

For remote monitoring and video features, download the "TimeFlys APP" from your device's app store (App Store for iOS or Google Play Store for Android).

The Baby Unit supports 2.4G Wi-Fi networks only. 5G Wi-Fi is not supported. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your smartphone to the Baby Unit via your home's 2.4G Wi-Fi network. This enables 24/7 surveillance from your phone.

2.4. Mounting the Baby Unit

The Baby Unit comes with an adjustable mount for easy installation. Attach the mount to the Baby Unit and secure it to a suitable location, such as a crib rail or shelf, ensuring a clear view of the monitoring area.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1. Hybrid Monitoring Mode

The TimeFlys monitor offers a unique hybrid mode, combining traditional audio monitoring via the Parent Unit with IP Wi-Fi video monitoring through the TimeFlys APP. This allows you to choose the best monitoring method for your needs, day or night.

3.2. Remote Monitoring with APP

When connected to the TimeFlys APP, you can:

• Two-Way Audio: Use the built-in microphone and speaker to communicate with your baby, pet, or family remotely. Simply tap the microphone icon in the app to speak.
• Recording & Capture: Record video clips or capture still images of important moments directly from the app.
• Control Features: Manage various settings and features of the Baby Unit directly from your phone.

3.3. Extra Super Long Range Audio Monitoring

The Parent Unit provides traditional audio monitoring with an impressive range of up to 2000 feet in open areas. This allows you to hear your little one even when you are in a different part of the house or outdoors, such as in the garden or by the pool.

3.4. Red Infrared Night Vision & Night Light

The Baby Unit features automatic infrared night vision, providing clear images in dark conditions. You can check on your baby at any time without disturbing them. Additionally, the integrated night light can be controlled remotely via the Parent Unit or the TimeFlys APP, or directly from the Baby Unit itself.

3.5. Channel Selection (A/B)

The Baby Unit offers Channel A and B options, suitable for families monitoring two children simultaneously with separate units (additional units sold separately).

4. Maintenance

• Clean the units regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Keep the camera lens clean for optimal image quality.
• Ensure power cords are not damaged and are properly connected.
• Store the units in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1. No Power / Unit Not Turning On

• Check if the power cords are securely plugged into both the unit and the power outlet.
• Ensure the power outlet is functional.
• For the Parent Unit, press and hold the power button for at least 3 seconds.

5.2. No Audio / Poor Audio Quality

• Ensure both units are within range.
• Check the volume settings on the Parent Unit and your smartphone app.
• Minimize interference from other electronic devices.

5.3. No Video / Poor Video Quality (App)

• Verify that your smartphone is connected to a stable 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
• Ensure the Baby Unit is connected to the same 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
• Restart the TimeFlys APP and the Baby Unit.
• Check your internet connection speed.

5.4. App Connection Issues

• Confirm your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G (5G is not supported).
• Ensure correct Wi-Fi password entry during setup.
• Try resetting the Baby Unit (refer to the unit for reset button location, often a small pinhole).
