4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your Satisure Wireless Door Sensor Chime:

4.1. Receiver Placement

1. Plug the receiver into a standard electrical outlet in your desired location. Ensure it is within the 600-foot wireless range of where the door sensor will be installed.

4.2. Door Sensor Installation

1. Identify a suitable location on your door or window frame. The two parts of the sensor must be aligned and within 0.4 inches (10mm) of each other when the door/window is closed.
2. Clean the surface where the sensor will be attached to ensure good adhesion.
3. Peel off the adhesive backing from both parts of the door sensor.
4. Attach the larger sensor unit to the door or window frame, and the smaller magnetic unit to the moving part of the door or window. Ensure they are aligned and the gap is no more than 0.4 inches when closed.

4.3. Pairing the Door Sensor to the Chime

The door sensor and receiver are typically pre-paired. If re-pairing is needed or you are adding additional sensors:

1. Plug in the receiver.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down button on the receiver for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a 'ding' sound and the LED indicator flashes. This puts the receiver into pairing mode.
3. Quickly separate the two parts of the door sensor. The receiver will ring, indicating successful pairing.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Selecting a Ringtone

The Satisure Door Sensor Chime offers 58 different chime melodies.

1. Press the Ringtone Selection button (Up/Down button) on the receiver to cycle through the available melodies.
2. Stop pressing the button when you find your preferred ringtone. The receiver will automatically save your selection.

5.2. Adjusting Volume

The receiver has 5 adjustable volume levels, ranging from 0 to 120 dB.

1. Press the Volume Up or Volume Down buttons on the receiver to increase or decrease the sound level.
2. The LED indicator will flash to confirm the volume change.

5.3. Expanding the System

The Satisure Door Sensor Chime system is expandable. You can add up to 20 sensors and 20 receivers for comprehensive coverage.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Battery Replacement

The door sensor is powered by a CR123A battery. When the sensor's performance degrades or the LED indicator on the sensor no longer lights up, it's time to replace the battery.

1. Carefully open the door sensor unit.
2. Remove the old CR123A battery.
3. Insert a new CR123A battery, ensuring correct polarity.
4. Close the sensor unit securely.

6.2. Cleaning

Wipe the receiver and sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the units in water.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Chime Not Ringing

• Ensure the receiver is plugged into a working power outlet.
• Check the door sensor battery. Replace if necessary.
• Verify that the door sensor and receiver are properly paired. Refer to Section 4.3 for pairing instructions.
• Ensure the gap between the two sensor parts is no more than 0.4 inches (10mm) when the door/window is closed.
• Confirm the volume is not set to mute or the lowest level.

7.2. Resetting the Door Chime and Sensor

If you experience persistent issues or wish to clear all pairings, you can reset the system:

1. Plug the receiver into a power outlet.
2. Press and hold the 'Down' button on the receiver for approximately 10 seconds. You will hear the doorbell ring, indicating a successful reset.
3. Separate the door magnet again. If the doorbell does not ring, the reset was successful.

7.3. Pairing with Another Door Chime (Receiver)

If you have multiple receivers and want to pair a sensor to an additional chime:

1. Ensure the first chime is already paired and working.
2. Plug in the second receiver (chime 2).
3. Press the 'Volume Button' and 'Down Button' of the second chime at the same time. You will hear the door chime 2 ring.
4. Quickly separate the two parts of the door sensor. You will hear the door chime 2 ring, which means the pairing is successful.
