How Does It Work?

A door sensor alarm system typically has two main components:

  1. The Indoor Alarm Receiver: This unit acts as an alarm buzzer. It receives a signal from the door sensor and activates an alarm (adjustable from 0-110dB). It also features a flashing LED indicator, making it easy to locate even in the dark. The receiver simply plugs into an AC outlet.
  2. The Door Sensor: This sensor transmits a signal to the receiver when its two parts are separated by no more than 0.8 inches. A blue light flashes on the sensor when it transmits a signal. It can be installed on windows or doors. The product has a built-in battery, which will need to be replaced when depleted.

Installation

The receiver unit measures approximately 80mm by 80mm.

The door sensor consists of two parts. The main unit and a smaller contact piece. These are attached to a door and its frame respectively. The installation gap between the two parts must be less than 0.8 inches (approximately 2 cm) for the sensor to function correctly.

Getting Started

  1. Powering the Indoor Chime Receiver: Plug the receiver into an AC outlet. Press the volume button to test if it produces sound. For optimal performance, keep the receiver away from other electrical equipment like TVs or microwaves.
  2. Powering the Door Sensor: The door sensor is powered by a 1*23A 12V alkaline battery (included). It operates wirelessly up to a maximum distance of 600ft/200m (in open range) from the receiver. Remember to replace the battery when it runs out.
