Airflow and Cooling

The Fractal Design North case is engineered for optimal airflow. The open front panel with wood slats and integrated mesh allows for significant air intake. The two pre-installed 140mm Aspect PWM fans contribute to efficient cooling. Ensure proper fan orientation for intake and exhaust to maintain low internal temperatures.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and performance of your PC case.

  • Dust Filters: The case features removable dust filters on the front and bottom. Periodically remove and clean these filters with compressed air or water (ensure they are completely dry before reinstallation).
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that may damage the finish or wood panels.
  • Interior Cleaning: With the system powered off and unplugged, use compressed air to remove dust buildup from internal components and fan blades.
