- Keep the dispenser away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

Product Components
Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your Primo Water Dispenser:
- Hot Water Faucet: Dispenses hot water (red lever).
- Cold Water Faucet: Dispenses cold water (blue lever).
- Drip Tray: Collects spills and is removable for easy cleaning.
- Bottle Compartment: Located at the bottom, conceals the water bottle.
- Power Switch: Controls the main power to the unit.
- Hot Water Switch: Activates the hot water heating function.
- Cold Water Switch: Activates the cold water cooling function.
- Indicator Lights: Display power, heating, cooling, and empty bottle status.

Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove the dispenser from its packaging. Retain packaging for future transport if needed.
- Placement: Place the dispenser on a flat, level surface in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure adequate ventilation (at least 4 inches from walls).
- Initial Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Clean the drip tray.
- Install Water Bottle: Open the bottom compartment door. Insert the probe of the water line into a new 3 or 5-gallon Primo water bottle. Slide the bottle into the compartment and close the door.
- Prime the System: Before plugging in, place a cup under the cold water faucet and press the lever until water flows continuously. This removes air from the lines. Repeat for the hot water faucet (if applicable, some models require priming only cold).
- Plug In: Plug the dispenser into a grounded 120V AC outlet.
- Activate Heating/Cooling: Turn on the main power switch. Then, activate the hot and cold water switches located on the back or top of the unit. Allow approximately 15-20 minutes for water to reach optimal temperatures.

Operating Instructions
Dispensing Cold Water:
- Place a cup under the blue (cold) water faucet.
- Press the blue lever to dispense cold water. Release to stop.
Dispensing Hot Water:
- Place a heat-safe cup under the red (hot) water faucet.
- Simultaneously push the child-resistant safety button and press the red lever to dispense hot water. Release both to stop.
- Always exercise caution when dispensing hot water to prevent burns.
Empty Bottle Indicator:
The dispenser will illuminate an indicator light when the water bottle is empty, signaling it's time for a replacement.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and hygiene:
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Drip Tray: The drip tray is removable and dishwasher-safe. Empty and clean it regularly to prevent overflow and bacterial growth.
- Internal Cleaning (Sanitizing): It is recommended to sanitize the internal water tanks and lines every 3-6 months. Refer to the Primo website or contact customer support for detailed sanitization instructions, which typically involve a mild bleach solution or a specialized cleaning kit.
- Descaling: If you notice reduced water flow or unusual noises, descaling may be necessary, especially in areas with hard water. Consult Primo's guidelines for descaling procedures.
