5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to install your HALO Recessed LED Retrofit Downlight:
- Turn Off Power: Before starting, ensure the power to the existing fixture is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Remove Existing Fixture: Carefully remove your old recessed lighting trim and bulb from the housing.
- Connect Adapter: If your existing housing uses an Edison screw-in socket, screw the provided Edison base adapter into the socket.
- Select Color Temperature: Locate the CCT (Color Correlated Temperature) switch on the back of the LED fixture. Choose your desired color temperature (3000K, 4000K, or 5000K) by sliding the switch. It is recommended to set this before final installation.
- Connect Wiring: Connect the quick connectors from the LED fixture to the corresponding connectors from the Edison base adapter or directly to the housing wiring if applicable. Ensure a secure connection.
- Insert Fixture: Gently push the LED retrofit downlight into the existing recessed housing. The spring clips on the sides of the fixture will secure it in place.
- Restore Power: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker.
