1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to set up your ATEN VE800A HDMI Extender system:

2. Connect HDMI Source to Transmitter: Use an HDMI cable to connect your HDMI source (e.g., Blu-ray player, computer) to the HDMI input port on the VE800AT (Transmitter) unit.

If you experience flickering, poor image quality, or no signal, adjust this switch incrementally until the best picture quality is achieved. Start from the lowest setting and increase it as needed.

5.2. DDC Port Usage

The DDC port allows for the transmission of EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) from the display back to the source. If your setup requires specific EDID communication, connect a second Cat 5e cable between the DDC ports on both the transmitter and receiver units. This is typically not required for standard operation but can be useful in complex setups or with specific display requirements.
