3. Setup

3.1 Battery Installation

  1. Remove the back cover of the phone by gently prying it open from the notch.
  2. Align the battery's gold contacts with the phone's terminals.
  3. Gently press the battery into place until it clicks.
  4. Replace the back cover, ensuring it is securely fastened.

3.2 SIM Card Installation

The TOKVIA T221 supports standard, micro, and nano SIM cards using the provided adapters.

  1. With the back cover removed, locate the SIM card slot(s).
  2. Insert your SIM card into the designated slot, ensuring the gold contacts face downwards and the cut corner aligns correctly.
  3. If using a microSD card for expanded storage (e.g., for photos), insert it into the microSD slot.

3.3 Charging the Phone

Before first use, fully charge the phone. The phone can be charged using the charging dock or directly via a USB-C cable.

  • Using the Charging Dock: Connect the power adapter to the charging dock. Place the phone into the dock, ensuring it sits firmly and the charging indicator light illuminates.
  • Direct Charging: Connect the USB-C cable to the phone's charging port and the other end to the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Power On/Off

  • To power on, press and hold the Power/End Call button (red button) until the screen lights up.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power/End Call button until the power off options appear, then select 'Power off'.

4.2 Making and Receiving Calls

  • Making a Call: Dial the number using the keypad and press the Call button (green button).
  • Receiving a Call: Open the flip to answer an incoming call, or press the Call button (green button). Close the flip or press the End Call button (red button) to end a call.

4.3 SOS Function

The SOS button allows you to quickly contact up to 5 pre-set emergency contacts.

  1. Go to the phone's settings to set up your emergency contacts.
  2. In an emergency, press and hold the SOS button located on the back of the phone.
  3. The phone will automatically call and send an emergency SMS to your designated contacts in sequence until one is answered.

4.4 Speed Dial and Photo Contacts

Program M1 and M2 keys for direct access to important contacts. You can also assign photos to contacts for easier recognition.

  • Navigate to the contacts menu to assign numbers to M1, M2, and other speed dial keys (2-9).
  • To call a speed dial contact, simply press and hold the assigned key.

4.5 Adjusting Volume and Ringtones

You can adjust the call volume using the side buttons during a call. To change ringtones:

  1. Go to 'Settings' > 'User Profiles'.

  3. Select 'Call Tone' and choose your preferred ringtone.
