- Keypad and Scanner: Keep the digital keypad and biometric scanner clean and free of debris for optimal performance.
Troubleshooting
- Safe does not open with digital code:
- Ensure the keypad is awake by tapping it. Re-enter the code carefully. If programming a new code, ensure you follow the instructions precisely and quickly, as the unit may time out if there are long pauses. Refer to the "Programming the Master Code" section.
- Biometric scanner not recognizing fingerprint:
- Ensure your finger is clean and dry. Place your finger firmly and consistently on the scanner. If issues persist, try re-enrolling your fingerprint. The scanner may require multiple attempts for recognition, as noted by some users.
- Safe is unresponsive:
- Check the battery level. If batteries are depleted, use the Micro-USB port with an external power source to open the safe and replace the batteries.
- Lid does not open fully after unlocking:
- The lid assist system partially lifts the lid. You may need to manually lift it the rest of the way. This is normal operation.
